Welcome to DDS:CW the RP! Digimon Digital Slayers: Chronic Wielders is all about fun, fun, fun, and strippers. Just kidding. It's about a bunch of Destined (now called Digital Slayers or Chronic Wielders) saving the world from evil.

And, just to clear up a very common assumption, no--there is no difference between a "Digital Slayer" or "Chronic Wielder". Your character may have a preference for what they may wish to be called, though. However, note that being called a "Destined" is such an old name, it's almost like saying "Pass thy salt", so your character most likely wouldn't refer to him/herself as a Destined.

This takes place a good sixty years after 02, so yes, the whole world knows about Digimon, the Digital World, and everyone has a partner--but everyone's not necessarily a Slayer/Wielder.

So, on to the fun stuff:

Try-Outs/Applications/Profiles: before you begin role playing, you need to post an application in the Try-Outs Forum, where I will either approve or disapprove it. It's pretty easy to get approved, though if you don't, it's not a big deal. I'll tell you what you can do to get it approved.

That said, you also have to keep certain things in mind while setting up an application.

The Golden Steps:

1. Check out The Try-Out Guidelines.

2. Check with The Registration List to see what stats are already taken. You only have to worry about the first post. Also note that anything that's on the Registration List is taken--even things with no names by it or things with "reserved" next to it. What's on the list is taken, no exceptions.

3. Re-read your try-out to make sure it's good to go.

4. Wait for it to be approved.

Other Details:

Sphere Weapons:
If you wish to have a very powerful character that can be part of the plot, it's essential that you get them something called a "Sphere Weapon". What Sphere Weapons are is described in this thread. Remember to follow the links at the top of the thread!

The Plot:
After a girl wished for nightmares to collide with man and mon in both the Digital World and in Reality, everything changed. The old Destined have gone missing. Guardians the Digital World and Omnimon's Palace are searching for ways to bring dreams back into the dimensions in order tip the scales in a balance between dreams and nightmares.

Some Wielders and Slayers follow their dreams.

Others follow their nightmares.

Most people have shadows who try to assassinate them, while others have nightmares come to life before their eyes. Nightmare Beasts -- creatures which have never once been slain in the history of all realms -- roam the worlds and feast on flesh and bone and tendon. It is a hellish time, and only the Wielders and Slayers can stop it despite having the whole worlds against them.

For the Wielders and Slayers must not only fight enemies, but internal conflicts, and also fight the people who they were meant to protect because these people don't believe you can protect them.
