After noticing the disappearance of a sizable force in the English Channel, the Atlantic Federation, fearing a large offensive operation by the Eurasians, diverts its Spanish task force to France in a bid to isolate the British Isles and Spain. A fraction of this force is quick enough to intercept the HMS Charlemagne. Fortunately, French and German reinforcements (along with the Juggernaut Gundam) arrive to escort the HMS Charlemagne behind German lines. Unfortunately, however, French resistance breaks and the remnants either flee to neighboring countries or remain behind to stall the Federation via guerilla combat.
