Welcome to Darkest Reign
The story so far
Though the heroes of the Marvel Universe managed to defeat the Skrull invasion it was Norman Osborn that got the credit for killing the Skrull Queen and Tony Stark was blamed for allowing the invasion in the first place. Now Stark is a fugitive, Osborn is running the Avengers and H.A.M.M.E.R. after shutting down S.H.I.E.L.D. and the world's heroes are going to be having a very bad year.

Plot
The return
Back from the confrontation in Latveria both Norman Osborn's Avengers and the scattered heroes are licking their wounds. However another showdown is on the horizon. Meanwhile the mutant population has relocated to San Francisco and an old enemy has begun to make his presence known.

Avengers Tower
Formerly Stark Tower the Avengers Tower was given to Norman Osborn when he took over SHIELD. Once the home of the Might Avengers it now houses Osborn's Dark Avengers as well as the headquarters for HAMMER.

Home of the first family of heroes, the Fantastic Four. The Baxter Building is a state of the art facility scrapping the sky of Manhattan, and is the centre of the Fantastic Four's non-hero endevours as well. Due to Reed Richard's experiments it is often the focal point for various inter-dimensional events and near disasters.

The New Avengers' Base
Formerly a SHIELD base Nick Fury gave the retrofitted building to Steve Rogers to use as a home for Captain America. When Rogers died it was passed on to his successor Bucky Barnes and now serves as the base of operations for the New Avengers. Currently it is also the home of Barnes, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Cage and Jones' daughter.

Once a nation built on enslaving mutants, it became a near paradise under Magneto. The world's first mutant nation was destroyed by Cassandra Nova and to this day lays in ruins off of the coast of Africa. Capital city Hammer Bay was the hardest hit of all, millions of lives were lost and now the island lays barren save for the rubble of a lost nation and a dead dream.

Ruled by a hereditary monarchy and a council of elders, it is often the home of the Black Panther. There is a whole lot of America that isn't either in New York State or California. From the flat planes of the middle bits to the snowy bit up there by Canada and the rainy bit also up there by Canada, it's a magestic land. Then there's Flordia, they've got snakes and old people.
