I want to take a moment to talk about finer points in RPing.

We all want to be a super, uber powerful character that can't be hurt by anything, always surprises the enemy, and never gets snuck up on. We all want to be Kenpachi or have the Kyuubi inside of us and that's wonderful...

...but this isn't the way good RPs are made. The things that we enjoy in the battles we see are moments where the good wins out overall after intense struggle. That being said, think carefully with me for a moment: you won't get the most out of your character if you come out of the box broke. Your character isn't a mass of abilities waiting to explode. They have favorite colors and memories and feelings and thoughts and philosophies on life...

Try to develop a whole person and make that more important than being broke.

In the same vein, try thinking of more subtle attacks. I would tell you what some of mine are in the Bleach RP we have going, but sometimes a well-timed hadou is more effective than an earth-shattering Getsuga Tenshou could ever be.

Strategy is a part of being powerful. Learn how to deal with this.
