It didn't matter that she was certainly not the age this country required one to be to get completely plastered. She would have been surprised at how easy it was to do so when you legally weren't allowed even, if she hadn't heard as much from everyone even before the move. And, well, she'd been there long enough at this point to be well accustomed to the hypocrisy required of a place that stared down it's nose at everyone while they themselves broke the rules. Hypocrisy at its finest, ah, smelled like money.

Joelle had spent a few minutes chatting up the doorman before he let her in, sans dark X on her hand, for her number. She'd actually given him Zerek's Old Girlfriend's number, which meant it was going to be hilarious. Because that girl didn't speak a lick of English. But on the plus side if this doorman ever saw her again and accused her of giving him the wrong number she could always apologize and say she'd given him her phone number, because, of course, that's what she thought of first. Not that anyone female would ever answer the phone there, but the doorman didn't know that.

Hopping, literally, up to the bar, Joelle kneeled on one of the high cushioned stools and rested her forearms on the bar. She'd been in there a while already, and the bartender recognized her face -- and wasn't even bothering to ask her what she wanted at this point. Because every time she ordered the same thing, downed the entire glass in a single go and darted onto the dance floor then came back. For her she was being surprisingly quiet, and well behaved, which meant she'd only sworn out a handful of people instead of a dozen as she normally would have after being there that long.

But she was in a bit of a funk, and for her that showed itself in a lack of energy to be yelling the things she normally would be all the time. She was in a bit of a funk because one of the songs she had written had somehow gotten lost. It had been on a piece of loose leaf notebook paper and for some reason her pocket wasn't the safe place she'd always assumed it. So now she could only remember a stanza or two and had no idea as to the rest or where it could be -- and it had been such a nice tune too!

In any case she was hoping that getting completely wasted would remind her as to what it was. And if not, maybe she'd forget having ever written it in the first place. As she waited for her drink she sang along to the song blasting through the whole place, and even plastered her voice managed to hit the right notes. Drunk singing was something she'd perfected.

((OOC: I assume we can rp in more than one topic at once.))

The doorman scrutinied Mimi's fake id. The id checked out, but the girl didn't. She couldn't be older than sixteen, could she? Finally, he handed the id back to her, nodding for her to go in. What could he do? If he was wrong and the id was real, he would be in trouble. Just better to let it slide and let the girl in.

Mimi's nose wrinkled as she entered, the smell of sweat from dancing and alchohal was strong. This wasn't the sort of place Mimi usually went for, but she had said she'd meet Joelle. Unfortunately, they had not agreed as to where, and Mimi had spent the earlier portion of the evening checking out the bars looking for her. As much as she hated to admit it, having a fake id was a useful thing.

Over the noise and chatter and swearing, Mimi could pick out Joelle's voice singing along with the song playing from the speakers. "Finally," thought Mimi, relieved her search was over. Pushing through the dance floor, Mimi walked up to the bar, pulling up a stool next to Joelle. "Virgin margarita," she said to the barman, who cocked an eyebrow at her. Not many came in there and asked for things without alchohal. Confused, he went off to pour a glass of margarita mix.

As the barman plopped Mimi's glass and Joelle's down on the counter, the song ended. "Hey, this yours?" Mimi asked Joelle, passing a crumpled, folding piece of notebook paper over to her inebriated friend. "Found it in the courtyard."

((OOC: Heh. Most definitely.))

Joelle hadn't even realized her friend had come into the bar. At least, she hadn't until someone had asked for a virgin margarita. She'd been turning around to basically swear out the person for being an idiot and ordering a virgin anything when she realized the person in question was her virginal little friend. So instead of swearing at her angrily she through her arms around her and swore at her in a much more friendly manner. She supposed that a lot of people didn't swear at people they liked. But really, where was the fun in that?

"You crafty little bitch! What the fuckin' bloody hell are ya' doing here?" Joelle hugged the girl and kind of rocked her back and forth for a moment before letting go and just grinning at her. If she had been given a list of disreputable places, this would've been the last of those disreputable places that she ever would've expected to find Mimi in. And considering she never would've thought she'd see Mi-s in a disreputable place, that was really saying something. Of course the feisty Italian had forgotten that they had had plans to meet at all. Which probably made the fact that the girl was there even more odd.

Grinning again she grabbed the glass the barman sat in front of her. Ah. She did love enablers. They were the people who made it possible for her to be who she was. Well. They didn't make it possible, but they sure as hell made it significantly easier. And cheeper. Just thinking of the amounts of money she'd have to spend getting other people to get shit for her if she couldn't just get it herself brought a cold shudder to the girl's frame. Shaking off those thoughts for a moment, it took Joelle more then a little while to realize Mimi was shoving something at her.

Putting down her cup she blink at what it was before snatching it up and grinning at it. "Ma song! Fuck yeah!" Pumping a fist in the air for a moment, Joelle grinned, completely giddy about getting her song back. She couldn't even remember what it was about, but by god she was glad to have it back. Remembering why she had it back after another moment of celebration she again threw her arms around Mimi. "Mee's, you are the fuckin' best! I fuckin' love you. Hot damn!" After probably hugging the girl for too long she let go with a laugh and downed the last of her liquor.
