For those of you who could not make it to the club meeting this is what took
place.

In other News:
Congratulations to Blythe Gomez-Cruz. She is now OFFICIALL an officer of DC
Anime Club. Her title is Officer Assistant.

Blythe will also create a new SECURE myspace for DC Anime Club.

From now on club members are asked to pay club dues as soon as they enter the
meeting space during club meetings. You will then be given a bracelet so the
library staff can identify you from other people in the library.


As your president I care about what you the club members think. HOWEVER......if
YOU

the members of DC Anime Club DO NOT express your opinions or concerns about

DC Anime Club then we the Officers of DC Anime Club can not address your
concerns.

During Club meetings we will have an opinion box for members to place there
opinions

in. At the end of each club meeting we will read all opinions from the opinion
box.

In order to make sure that members know when upcoming club meetings will be held

club meeting is.

DC Anime Club in collaboration with Fathom Events will help to promote the Viz
Pictures Movie DeathNote : The Last Name.
The Screening will be held for two nights only this time Washington, DC on
Wednesday October 15, 2008 and Thursday October 16, 2008 at Mazza Gallerie 7
5300 WISCONSIN AVE NW Washington DC 20015.
I would like for DC Anime Club to take a field trip to see this movie on
Thursday October 16, 2008.
During this screening we will promote DC Anime Club, and have our Marketing Dept
Head Janeia Prentiss hand out prizes to attendees of the screening.

DC Anime Club will be promoting ourselves at this years Anime USA in the dealers
Room. The following volunteers will get free dealers room badges. We will meet
in front of the Hyatt Rengency Hotel at 10am on Friday October 10, 2008.
The following will be volunteering to man the DC Anime Club Table and receive a
free Dealers room Badge. Sorry but we will NOT be paying for peoples hotel room,
transportation or food.

DC Anime Club has been asked by a Mr. James Henry of DC Rollergirls to present a

Cosplay fashion Show as part of an halftime show. During the Cosplay Fashion
Show

members will do the following:

You walk on stage or rather the middle of the rink introduce yourself and who
you are

cosplaying as. During this we will have Anime music for background music. This
will be

similar to how DC Anime Club has done cosplay presentations in the past at the

Smithsonian Anime Marathon and the Japan Information and Culture Center, Embassy
of

Japan. We may have the new dance routine choreographed by Blythe added to the

fashion show.

DC Anime Club will Mingle with the audience especially the kids.

We need members of DC Anime Club members to volunteer to cosplay on stage/rink.
