Frieza's um . . . Predilictions

Most good Frieza fics have him as a sexual predator of some type or another.

Do you feel the anime itself displays evidence of this or is it just that he's so EVIL we think he'll use any weapon at his disposal to dominate?

Frieza is rarely seen doing any actual fighting (up until Namek that is) although he appears to get invoved with the more important hostil takeovers. He does go to any length to get what he wants though, so I wouldn't doubt it. I've read articles about rapeists, they all share commen traits with to Freeza: They are controlling. They would go at any length to tell you just who is the boss. They usually have emotional/ mental disorders. Freiza mentioned haveing a rather turbulant relationship with his parents. I think that Freiza would molest someone if he really wants his way.

It's the voice actors.

And the copious eyeliner.

He's also fastidious and polite, so he Must be gay enough to rape Vejiita.

And the fact that he has no visible genitalia. Who knows what hideous form of dangly or non-dangly bits might be lurking within?

Personally I'm not a huge fan of Rapist!Frieza. He's intensely egotistical, and there are so many more ways to torment someone without... soiling oneself through intimate contact with an inferior being.

That has given me the most revolting dancing-Frieza thoughts.

After the "I want to caress my balls" bit on Namek, I'm not sure what to think of him really. =P

Compared to the rest of his "minions", he doesn't seem to be one to get his hands dirty. But his ability for cruelty and humiliation doesn't make me want to put it past him. I reckon he'd be more likely to have someone else (or a robot or something) do something like it. Particularly considering his concept of Saiyans being "filthy monkeys".

I agree with that,

the DBZ villains don't seem to care about sex... I mean, if they did, wouldn't they surround themselves with physicaly attractive people? Beyond FriezaxVegeta or Zarbon or Raditz, CoolaxSalza - we're stuffed with ugly henchmen...

I feel Frieza made the comments; and was physicaly capable of overpowering weaker people (but heck, so's Goku) but he would neither dirty himself with his slaves, nor be... attracted to them. =/

GINYU on the other hand- that's where we should be thinking...

I swear he was gonna' use Goku's body to go get laid o_o

On a serious note, I do see Frieza as the type who would rape Vegeta. Vegeta was a stubborn, stuck-up prince. You can't whoop the boy into submission (come on, he was a Saiyan for crying out loud). So I'm sure Frieza realized that sexual abuse would break Vegeta and I doubt Frieza would hold back from anything if he wanted to control someone.

What if Frieza (and therefore anyone else) didn't dare beat up on Vegeta (or any of the Saiyans) because of the Saiyan healing factor? I mean, there's this prophecy laying around saying you're gonna die at Saiyan hands, so you're gonna beat up on the Saiyans *knowing* that such behavior will result in them getting stronger and stronger? Seems a bit foolish, and Frieza doesn't strike me as a fool.

So how does that change their relationship?

Good question. If that was the case, I think he kept sending them to battle in hopes that they will both fulfill his wants and get killed in the process. Two Kennys with one stone. Then he saw how powerfull they got after every battle, and decided to eliminate a threat by exterminateing the entire planet. Frieza may not be a fool, but he is still far to stubborn, so his pigheadedness causes him to do stupid things, like challange Goku. I suppose he didn't see Vegeta as a threat.

How many ways might a Saiyan be tormented mentally?

I think the lizard would try to make Vegeta feel weak, or simply show him that he was weak. Rub his nose in it *continually*. Even if it didn't break him, Frieza would at least get the satisfaction of humiliating him.

But I can see him using others to do this--forcing Vegeta to "serve" his lieutenants would be one example. That way he doesn't get dirty (or tired!), and V doesn't get stronger. Plus, playing his minions against one another ensures that they're too pissed off at each to organize a mutiny.

Although he did allow Goku to escape because he was so "busy" and created his own downfall. He also continued to fight Goku with a cheap shot even though bits of him had been sawn off too.

I was watching this topic a while back to see what people would say and then forgot to add my two cents...

Put me squarely in the Frieza as sexual abuser camp. I do believe that some sort of sexual "perversity" was implicit in the manga---just enough to make people think that this guy is BAAAAAAD and I saw it right away. I've since had people tell me that they thught they came up with the abused as a child Vegeta thing before even knowing it was a fanfic cliche. I've since read other manga where giving a villain eyeliner and suggesting he likes little boys is a shortcut way to creepify someone, even in a shounen manga.

Given that sexual assault is as old as war itself ("raping and pillaging" anyone?) and that male dominated heirarchical institutions like prisons and army barracks tend to have this top guy/b*tch pecking order that is sometimes enforced with sexual dominance ---it just seemed natural to assume that Frieza was a sexual abuser. I'm almost always surprised when people don't see it. Of course, I go along with the "he's too refined for it" attitude too---Frieza shown sipping his wine in the anime just tells me he has discriminating taste. And that a Saiyan prince would probably satisty that prediliction.
