Title: Who is your favorite villian and why?
flamingo6584 - October 3, 2005 04:07 PM (GMT)
My favorite is Freeza--not because I like him or anything, that is just my favorite saga. It is the first saga that I saw from start to finish on cartoon network. It was before I bought any tapes, so I had to wait and wait and wait for the conclusion. There is a lot of character development in sith sage that carries on for the remainder of the series.
This saga also has one of my favorite lines when Goku is getting ready to take the space ship to Namek that Dr. Briefs has built, Briefs tells him it isn't finished because he "hasn't installed the cappucino machine". Not sure if that is the original Japanese translation, but it cracked me up!!
debbiechan - October 3, 2005 04:28 PM (GMT)
I think in the Japanese it's stereo speakers Dr. Briefs has to install!
Frieza, without a doubt, is an excellent villain. He's one of the creepiest. Very lizardy and small and cold and polite when he first see him. He's not about the fighting and kicking a$$--he's about the power. He's intelligent, but it's not a snazzy arrogance like Cell's--it's all perverted and playful. He's a very intriguing character. I do love a good villain, and Frieza's one of the best of all time.
mischiefmaker - October 3, 2005 04:33 PM (GMT)
I actually like Buu the best, not the saga just the character. He looked cool, and he was all evil and pink! :P I'm partial to 18, too, though. ^_^ Freeza's too creepy for me.

I love those two. They probably get my joint first- although Radditz, Cell and Buu come behind closely. I liked most of the villians in the show- AT certainly had a knack for 'em. Oh yes, and Dabura. He rocked! *smirks*
And how could I forget Tao Pai Pai? His short appearance in DBZ was hysterical.
shybulma - October 3, 2005 04:53 PM (GMT)
Frieza, no doubt about it! He is so calculated and manipulative and pure evil. The dub version made him creepy. But he can sense his evil and his mannerism with the original Japanese version.

*looks over at the Saiyan lounging on the couch waiting for her to answer the question correctly.* :raditz:
hm...
*Looks at her harem :turles: :freeza: :zarbon: :cell: :17: then back at Raditz*
Raditz definiately Raditz.
Although for shear Evilness. It would have to be Freeza. I do love a cold, calculating villian who is evil just for the sake of it. 17 is a close second. Kid Buu is the best at just being evil for the sake of it but he also had not real personality or goal other than to kill everything. Brolly too for that matter.

Yes, the part about "caressing" his balls was highly, skin crawlingly, evil.

Gotta love the bad side of a man
Hiroko - October 4, 2005 03:59 PM (GMT)
Why don't we just call this Hottest Villain and call it a day? :eyeroll:
My favorite is Frieza. Hands down. No, I'm not bowing, but if I had to pick anyone in the Universe to work for it would have to be him. He might blow me up at any moment, but I have to admit, he looks like he could throw a helluva Galla! Leading back to his "etiquette" of course. I also like the fact that he respects his father even though he's more powerful. You don't see that much with all these Saiyan "traditions" running around pronouncing that the prince has to "kill the king". A nice attribute of Frieza's character--almost makes him seem childlike. Well, he is small... :freeza:
Selenity Jade - October 5, 2005 12:02 AM (GMT)
Let's see...
Favorite villian that I LIKE is Vejiita. Can't help it. I adore Vejiita. Close seconds on these are also Radditzu and Piccolo.
Evilest? Furiza, though Buu comes in a close second. Buu is just... evil in this innocent type way. Furiza however is creepy, calculating, etc.
Best looking? Zarbon, probably.
Most entertaining villain? Pilaf or Buu.
Most annoying? Pilaf or Buu, as well as Babidi.
^_^;
chidogs - October 5, 2005 01:32 AM (GMT)
Unfortunately :( I haven't seen all of the villains yet. So I will have to hold off casting a vote here. Gotta say, though, I really doubt anybody could be more sinister than Frieza. He's just scary.
NansJns - October 5, 2005 05:01 AM (GMT)
Hmm, I'm not sure who's my favorite. I totally agree that Frieza is the creepiest, and probably the most intelligent. Buu is pretty freaky in his own right, as is Cell. The Andriods, well, what more need be said? Babidi and Dabura - honestly, now, did anyone else find the goodie-goodie dead Dabura scarier than the evil Dabura? Freaked me out! :yikes: And, of course, the Saiyans and Frieza's various minions; so many to choose from! let me think on it, okay? ^_^

Just shut their door. That's what I do. :P

I love Androids 17 and 18 in the Trunks movie. Kind of a "Natural Born Killers" feel to it.
Xero Sky - October 5, 2005 06:14 PM (GMT)
Majin :SSVegeta:
There's just so much angst involved there -- in a way, it's Vegeta's finest moments.
The slaughter at the stadium, the speech about "Spend all your life in service to another, and tell me there's anything more important than your own strength!", the fight with Goku, the fight with Buu, the moment with Trunks and Goten, and then his sacrifice... these are my favorite parts of the whole series, I think.
Aiyana - October 5, 2005 07:15 PM (GMT)
Freeza is the most charismatic villain but my favourite one is Majin Vegeta, his appearance is short but very intense!
Poor Bulma she was really shocked by her husband!

we need an exorcist

She's only human after all.
Personally I'd be pissed. I hope he got an ear-full after that, or even worse, the cold shoulder.
See the Salon Library for more in-depth details!

If I were in the place of Bulma, I believe that I would be afraid, how to forget that her husband is become again a monster during some time? Moreover I like much the fanfics where Bulma thinks deply about her relation with Vegeta after Buu, the most recent which I read is is at this address
http://www.mediaminer.org/fanfic/view_st.php/30988(great fanfic by the way and a very good lemon :roshi:  )
I already went to the Salon Library, it is really brilliant!
By the way Hiroko, your avatar makes me laugh, it is so funny!

Love all the new smilies
:recoom: :burter: :jeice: :guldo: We already had Captain Ginuy though :frog:
Nekoni - October 9, 2005 05:23 PM (GMT)
Baaah I don' see Vegeta as a villain... he's too squishy.... like the 'bad guy' in the movies that ends up helping the good-guys and being a good guy too. XD
Yeah. Frieza's definately great villain material. Rest assured, if I ever ruled the universe, it'd be the Frieza-way.
Buu's LOTS of fun though!
-and Janenba!!!! A guy that doesn't talk--- YESH! Evil incarnate (literaly)
Bardockgurl - October 9, 2005 05:36 PM (GMT)
... There can be only one...

>.< I'm not a villain you little cow!
O.o No, I'm sure the people of Kanassa and everywhere else thought you were a peach... o.O
Great, so it's villainous to have a bloody job now is it? >.<
A great big furry, ki blasting 50ft peach that destroyed everything in his path and had fun while he was doing it...
*twitch*
HA!!! You can't deny the fun part, can you? I WIN!!
*sulks*
Of the baddies who actually fought with our beloved Zettos though, I choose...
Cell!!
He's a big bug - what can I say??
Silver Lady - October 10, 2005 03:54 PM (GMT)
Freeza, indeed, is the most charismatic. of the main DBZ villains. He spent years purging planets just for greed, tortured not only his enemies but his own men, he's cynical and ironical _ and also made Vegeta being what he is.
Although I prefer Vegeta at his good side, I'll add in _he really gave a hard time to Goku and his friends at first, and he gave a good spice in Namek and Buu Saga, without him it could have been a little...boring, or almost.
I also add Gyniu_he was an inteligent villain, pity he didn't appear that much _and Kid Buu. The little monster was pure force of destruction.

Let me just put it this way. If it weren't for Vegeta I wouldn't have gotten very far through the Buu Saga. I mean, I wouldn't watch it more than once. For one, I think Buu was the worst villain ever (considering GT isn't canon in my book). He had no character really. He was just a mindless fighting blob, and when Kid Buu was born it was even worse. Cell comes in second, because I never really figured out what he thought his "purpose" was, except that it was fun to kill everyone and then sit on a desolate Chikyuu alone, or maybe he would have went on to try and take over the universe and all those other redundant things... who knows... He didn't really have a plan, did he? And Buu... well, it's obvious he didn't think anything out except which cake he wanted to eat first. :eyeroll:
LisaB - October 10, 2005 06:56 PM (GMT)
That was my problem with Cell. He's a little to erudite to be so destructive. Kids have fun smashing things around, grown ups like to play with things. His whole "destroy the Earth" seemed just a little at odds with every other component of his personality.

 :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: this is so true!!!
but anyway, my favorite villan has to be Freiza with Vegeta as a close second. with all the other Villans you get an explanation of why they kill, be it buu, cell or the androids who were created for the sole purpose of distruction. He had no reason behind it specifically, no real purpose for it really, he just enjoys being evil. He is cool and collected, a genius in stratagy and a mastermind in cruelty. I absolutly despise him for his sick, perverted obsession with Vegeta, you can just tell that something is going on there. He is my Favorite Villian but I HATE him and thats what a good villan is: a person that you can really HATE.
Anothe reason I really like him is that not all of his personality is revealed. He has many facets of his personality and that makes him even more believeable. Hisi interaction with his father tells us that he does have a respect for his father and he isn't a uncomplicated evil villan, he's a complicated, beleiveable, purely insane, Pure evil villan! All the other villans are flat faced compared to Frieza, and that is why I love him so much, as a villan. :cookie:
Gozar - January 1, 2007 11:54 PM (GMT)
Cell, he's maniacal, sneaky, creepy, & smart. Everything a good villian should be. Plus the plotline he creates is fantastic.
saiyanwarrior - January 2, 2007 01:36 PM (GMT)
mine is cell because he was just so calculating he knew which buttons to press to get under his enemies skin just like vegeta.
Only-reading - January 5, 2007 10:43 AM (GMT)
My favorite villain is Piccolo Daimaou because he/she/it is so weird
Maybe the most evil is Freesa because she (my opinion) is most intelligent. She also has good background forces and ... hmm... she seems to spending rather comfortable life.
Eien Blue - January 5, 2007 12:15 PM (GMT)
Raditz and Vegeta. I don't care what anybody say, Vegeta was a villian for a bunch of eps before finding his soft spot for 'Kakarott'

 :vegeta2: Vegeta and Raditz :raditz: :superhyper:

Of course Vegeta was a villian. It wasn't until the Buu era that he turned over a full new leaf.

And I've always thought that was a huge shame. He was much more fun when he was back on the old leaf.
tryniamerin - January 6, 2007 07:12 AM (GMT)
mmm, In terms of sheer evilness, I'd have to say Freiza. Plus Freiza had a definate personality you loved to hate and a purpose for why he was how he was. Universal domination is usually a good way or a bad way to make a lasting impression in any saga.
Cell is my second favorite. His search for perfection also made sense. I guess I just like villans that have a rational REASON for being bad other then just "I'm bad cause I just am." I mean that works for some things, but I guess I just like to overanalyze things a lot!

I liked it how the Buu Saga did things, he started out nicer, but then went Majin....then finally in the Kid Buu Saga, it finally happens, Goku & Vegeta team up.

I just don't like "nice" Vegeta. *sulks* He's more fun when he's snarky and dangerous and morally ambivalent. Or, you know, destroying an entire wall of an arena, along with the thousand or so people who'd been sitting there previously.
