To be set loose on the real world would be most enjoyable. After all, there were tons of lonely hearts just waiting to be pushed together. Not to mention, all the chocolate an Angel could ask for. At the moment, she was doing research. Of course, she was being slightly subtle about it. As in she had an earphone in one ear playing a selection of love songs she'd collected, and was only glancing at the couples that walked by. A large notebook sat obediantly under her small hands, just waiting for her to open it up and fill it with notes on human relationship.

Her shining blonde hair was pulled back into a high ponytail, and brushed against the back of her neck with soft curls. She chewed on the cap of her bright pink pen absently as she observed two friends walking past her. She noted that the girl was laughing constantly, and had pink cheeks. Aimi grinned. That one was obvious. She flipped open the book and wrote quickly in her odd script:
"Girl humans seem to turn pink and laugh a lot when in love?
Boys seem to be entirely oblivious."

That particular note finished, she closed the book again and tapped her fingers absently on the tops of her book. So far, she'd noticed that while a lot of songs were happy, the really deep love songs tended to be slow and melancholy. Didn't make much sense to her. Love was supposed to be entirely joyful. She felt a slight breeze on her lower midriff and pulled down the hem of her white tee-shirt so that it hit the hem of her dark jeans. She lifted her i-pod to look through her songs, before selecting on that had rapidly rose into her favourites list. She turned the song up and abstently nodded her head along with the beat, staring at her notebook while mouthing the words.

For Adrian, the new school wasn't really all that exciting. It just meant that he would have to make a further, uphill trek just to get his education. He was just glad his parents had enrolled him as a full-time student rather than a part-time because then he's have to go all the way to Hollowhill High School and then all the way back up to Kirkland. Adrian's home was placed somewhere in the middle of the two, so attending both would have been a less than pleasing task. He didn't really mind the walks though, just the uphill part of it, especially in the mornings.

Adrian, having just finished wandering the school grounds, eventually found himself back in the familiar area of the courtyards where various students milled about here and there. He had yet to meet anyone he knew from Hollowhill HS and he wondered who else he might catch sight of. Stuffing his hands into his pockets, Adrian scanned the vicinity with a curious gaze. He'd forgotten what it was like to come to a new school and new people, but at Kirkland everybody was basically new. That was a comforting thought in his opinion, and he could only imagine what it was like for the students that were coming in from out of the state. Feeling a little better and more relaxed about the whole deal, Adrian was struck with the idea of striking up a conversation with someone.

It wasn't something he did often, so when he spied a brunette girl standing a few feet away from him he moved over with what was supposed to be a friendly smile. "Hi, I'm-" The girl's cell phone gave a burst of noise and she promptly put it to her ear and walked off without a second glance. Adrian stood there awkwardly before looking around to see if anyone had witnessed that embarrassing little encounter until he spied a head of blonde not too far away. He was hesitant to try again after the last outcome, but he pulled his hands from his pockets and approached her. "Hi, I'm Adrian," He greeted with a little wave of the hand after he noticed she was listening to some music and looking at her notebook. Eying it curiously, Adrian asked, "What're you working on?"

It took Aimi a minute to look up when somebody introduced themselves as Adrian. When she did however, her eyes widened and she gave an apologetic smile. "Oh I'm sorry! I didn't realize you were talking to me. I'm Aimi!" She waved a little too enthusiastically, and sent her pen flying. She immediately ran after it, and proceeded to trip, barely catching herself before she fell. She picked up the pen and grinned at Adrian.

She glanced at the book, still in her hand, and shrugged non-commitally. "This? I'm just doing research for a people studies paper I'm supposed to hand in at the end of the year. It's my parent's idea." She beamed at him, thinking it wasn't a half bad excuse for her first time. She told herself to tone it down a little bit and shifted her posture so that it was a little more relaxed, and calmed her smile down a bit.

"So do you live in this town or are you boarding here?" she asked, tipping her head slightly to the side in question. She felt very excited, and was having a bit of trouble keeping it in. After all, it was her first actual conversation with a human. She absently circled her right hand around her ivy tattoo in an attempt to calm herself down. "I'm really excited to be here. I'm from San Franciso, but I've been to a lot of boarding schools. This one seems to be really nice...." she let out a quiet laugh and bit down softly on her lip. "I'm sorry. Everybody tells me I talk too much."

Adrian simply stood there patiently as he watched her pen fly and Aimi stumble clumsily after it. It was kind of funny, but he did his best not to laugh. He couldn't really help but smile in return as she gathered herself again and looked at him. His eyebrow rose slightly at the mention of a people studies paper, but he didn't press the issue any further. It sounded like something he wouldn't be able to keep up with and in turn that would make him seem a little dumb.

He laughed a little. It seemed like he picked the right person in choosing someone to randomly introduce himself to because Aimi seemed awfully enthusiastic for a chat. She didn't seem too strange either, though she was rather... lively. Adrian didn't really mind and considered it to be a rather good thing. "No, no, you can never talk too much." He tried to assure her, not wanting her to feel like he was disinterested in what she had to say.

"But it's nice to make your acquaintance, Aimi," Adrian said, slowing things down a bit and returning his hands to his pockets as he often did when he didn't know what to do with them.He nodded his head slightly in response to her question, "Yeah, I live... I live down in the town. I transferred from the high school down there. Uh, since you're from San Francisco, I'm assuming you're boarding here then?"

Aim grinned at Adrian. "Well that's good. Still, I think it's best I watch how much I talk. Don't want to bore you." she pulled absently at a curl of her hair before releasing it to spring back into place. She was curious about humans. They seemed to interesting. Especially this one. Mind you, this was really the only one she'd talked to, up to date. Following his example without seeming obvious, Aimi hooked her thumbs on the edges of her jean pockets.

"Yours too." she replied, eyes sparkling brightly. One thing the angel hadn't learned was how to appear entirely non-chalant. Probably take a while as well, since she was so excited about everything. On the upside, everybody would probably just think she was an enthusiastic individual. She nodded as well. "Yup, sure am. I think it would be neat to live in the same town where you went to school." she paused and smiled, giving a small laugh, before explaining, "I've never done that. Always been in schools like this." she shifted her weight and made sure to focus on the conversation, unsure of what exactly to do with herself. Even school couldn't prepare an angel for their first interaction.

She felt a yawn coming on, and barely managed to get her hand up to her mouth before it attacked. She finished her yawn and then smiled apologetically. "I'm sorry. You're not boring. I didn't get a lot of sleep last night." she felt a little embarassed and flushed just a little bit. She stared at her feet momentarily, willing the warm feeling in her face away. Then she looked back at Adrian and gave him another brilliant smile. "So what grade are you in this year?" she asked him, as though she hadn't just yawned in his face.
