General

[o1] Not only should you respect the people in charge, but you should also respect your fellow role players. Respect everyone. If you find that there is someone you can't get along with, then please don't turn it into some huge, unnecessarily dramatic issue. Take it to PM or somewhere off the board to try and work things out. If needed, a mod or an admin can be contacted to help mediate the situation. This is the internet, fighting on it is rather useless. ._.;

[o2] Keep OOC talking in RP threads to a bare minimum. This is why we have OOC threads and PM system available for use. =]

[o3] This pretty much goes without saying, but it never hurts to remind. One liners are not allowed in RP threads. It's like throwing someone scraps and bones to gnaw on: there's nothing there. Doesn't it make you sad? This is a literate RP board, so I expe{c}t to see a little more than just one paragraph. If you have trouble, think details. Use those creative minds of yours.

[o4] Loyal, long-term membership, please. If you join, please plan on sticking around an
d staying active. Don't join and disappear off the face of the internet because not only is it a waste of our time, but yours as well. If you're absent for more than a month without prior notification, you will be banned. If you want to leave or go on some kind of break, p{o}st in the Away Thread and take your character with you. Send them on vacation, make them transfer schools, kill them in a tragic accident, whatever your heart desires.

[o5] Maturity. I'm not setting any kind of age restriction on this board, but I expect everyone to be mature. If you are offended by mature themes such as sex, drugs, cursing, alcohol, and any other things you might encounter in today's twisted s{o}ciety, then you probably shouldn't be here.

[o6] In ties with rule [o5], please keep language fairly tame without swear words running rampant all over the place. I understand that it may be part of your character, but if this is so please indicate some kind of warning. This goes for explicit material as well. There will be no sexually graphic details of how things went down that night or anything of the sort, since I'm sure that not everyone coming here will be eighteen or over. Just be considerate of your fellow players of what they might want and not want to see. =]

Characters

[o1] Your username should be your character's first and last name. For this RP I'd like to {k}eep things simple, so no middle names in your username, please!

[o2] Imperfections are important. Characters without flaws will be declined and asked to be edited. Leave room for your character to grow as a better person as time goes on.

[o3] At the moment, I'm going to place a limit on characters per person to four. For the sake of trying to keep an even gender ratio, you cannot control more than two characters of the same gender at a time. If there is someone that can successfully juggle four characters and still wants to take on another, ask we'll probably permit it. If you want to scrap a character or put them up for adoption, 'remove' them from all threads they are involved in before doing so. (See General Rule [o4])

[o4] Avatar cla{i}ms are on a first come, first serve basis. Reserves last five days before going up for grabs again. At this point, unless your characters are identical twins or something, I will not allow sharing.

[o5] Control your own character. No godmodding. Don't go hogging the spotlight. If needed, please ask the person who is playing the character if it is alright for a certain sc{e}ne.

[o6] RP posts will be made in third person, limited, past ten{s}e.
