Aeron was slowly getting used to living as a human again. The first few days had been rough, especially the first 24 hours after he took the first shot. He had to be under observation, Aeron was not only doing this for his own sake, sadly. To learn more about the cure against vampirism, he was also a test subject. Aeron had left the hospital after his heart had begun to beat and they'd observed him eat human food. And someone had followed him to the doors to the hospital to see his reaction to the sunlight outside. It had actually been sunny that day. The light had been incredibly sharp to Aeron's eyes, and he had felt a slight burn on his skin. But as promised, it soon ended, and he was fine. Everything he did for the first time at his second round of being human, hurt a little to begin with. But he could eat and drink now. He could walk outside in the sun. And often he'd reach a hand up to cover his heart, just to feel it there. And his breath, he was breathing too.

It was almost like an entirely new experience, since it's not like you think about it when you breathe for the first time or realize you have a heartbeat, when you're a child. Then that's just how it is. But now it was different. Aeron was experiencing how it was like to be human all over again. And honestly... he enjoyed it a lot. Of course he kind of missed the sexy moments when he drank blood, but if he really wanted to, he'd found out that his fangs would still extend. Only now they didn't do it every time he was hungry or hot for someone. Though to be honest, they did have a tendency to be easier to get to extend, when he thought about sex. Of course he didn't think about it constantly, but he was a guy, and he had a tendency to do it a lot no matter what.

Maybe he'd get some tonight? He had gone out again. Getting drunk was his new favorite habit, now that he could. It's not like he knew for how long the cure would last... at some point, he'd be entirely vampire again. So he had to enjoy this while he could! And he definitely did. His outfit tonight was based around a newly bought red shirt, and his hair was combed soft and without glitter in it for once. It was so interesting sometimes, what kind of people you could pick up when you wore something different. He'd almost not bought the shirt, remembering that Mike used to wear that kind of shirts too, but Aeron thought that his way of putting the set together looked way better than what Mike might have done. Besides, why should an ex-friend rule over what he chose to wear anyway? So he was hot out the box, and on his way to get drinks. It's not like he needed to attend Glitter every night... so, it didn't take long for him to get from his house and with a cab downtown. Where to go? Not a pub. He went inside a fancy nightclub with somewhat loud music, a nice dancefloor and a nice bar.

Once inside he handed the coat he wore to the wardrobe - yes, he had to really wear a coat now, since it did feel cold outside - and went straight to the bar. Sat up on a stool, smiled playfully at the hot male bartender there and ordered a tequila sunrise. Once he had it, he spun around on the stool to face the club. Now what would be good in here tonight? Well the music was definitely good. It was someone with good skills, who was acting as DJ right now. In fact, it almost reminded him of the best DJ he knew...

Virgil hadn't bothered checking into this T-Fav business. He hadn't been really keeping track of the news or what was going on as far as medical achievements. It wasn't important to him... even if it should have been. Being a vampire wasn't the worst thing out there for him, really.. so it wasn't something he worried about. In fact, being a vampire was the best thing for him at the moment. The more people knew of his vampirism, the more books he sold. It was a little dark of him to think that way, but it was what one had to do in a world like this. Competitive thinking was an effective way to get ahead and that had proven to be right with Virgil. The more tricks he pulled to make himself move forward, the more successful he was in everything he did. He was a far better DJ than he used to be and he didn't really need to work at his coffee shop anymore... although, he did so anyway. A day job allowed him some extra time to keep him occupied... which was ALWAYS what he needed.

He wasn't there tonight, though. Instead, he was doing what he did best... or.. the second thing he did best. He was an excellent writer, but being a disc jockey was most likely his true calling. So that's what he was doing tonight... submitting to who he was meant to be. And damn... was he doing a fabulous job! He had gotten up that morning knowing that there was going to be a nice, subtle change in his routine. He wouldn't spend the afternoon writing.. he would spend the afternoon annoying the neighbors by spinning records. He had to figure out the perfect setlist... and when he found it, there were some hasty knocks on his door. The landlord hadn't come to congratulate Virgil... no... he came to warn him that if he were to make this much noise again, the flat wouldn't be his any longer.
As if that was a threat. Virgil scoffed and brushed it off... almost considering eating the landlord. But that wouldn't have been nice. He could get a decent bite later.

And that he did. Once the evening fell, Virgil headed out a little earlier than usual to grab a bite to eat. He fed properly and was off to his gig at some newer club. There was more of a need for loud, buzzing electronica. That was the hype these days... and Virgil could certainly deliver. He wore his best garb, topping off the outfit with silver chelsea boots and a black bowler hat. He even made up his face a bit... wearing some eyeliner and lipgloss. When he entered the club through the backdoor, there were some wandering eyes... everyone wanted a piece of Virgil. Everyone! Even the proprietor looked at Virgil in JUST the right way. Soon enough, though, his set had started and he sent the crowd reeling with mixes he was sure would blow their minds. Virgil smiled to himself while standing behind the turntable, a pair of headphones held up next to his right ear. He had forgotten how much control he could have over a crowd like this... he could make them contort and step with such seduction.

Of course... Virgil's high had to come down sooner or later. He had leaned forward slightly and let his eyes wander the club while he spun his records. His gaze caught a flicker of something familiar... or.. someone familiar. Really? Why now? Did he really want to face Aeron NOW? He knew he would most likely be approached once he took a break, but maybe his groupies would consume him. Either way, he kept his attention away by untying his kerchief from his neck in order to tie it around his thigh... it was getting in the way and making him feel hotter than usual. "Hold onto your hats, kids! I've got something good going!" he shouted then into the mic next to him, wincing at the fact that he had to say anything. Oh well... he let the music take him away for the time being.. that was enough to obstruct his thoughts.

Aeron quietly sipped his tequila sunrise. He had eyes on him, he knew that. Not all guys dressed like this, but Aeron loved to dress up and look great for a night on the town. Another night on the town, mind you! He could do this as much as he wanted, right now. At some point, the cure wouldn't work anymore, Sofia had said that. So he better enjoy it while he could - and he certainly did. But right now, he wasn't sure what to do. The music was great. In fact, it was amazing, and Aeron thought he only knew about one person who could put together such a great set and mix it that well! He almost did not dare to think who it could be, but his eyes scanned the club and he finally found out where the DJ booth was. And right at that moment, the DJ had apparently just looked at him - Aeron only just looked at him when he turned his head away again. And that's when he felt his heart beat faster. Within, he was still a vampire, deep within. Vampires felt emotions strongly, and Aeron did that even before he was turned. Now to feel like this and at the same time have a body that would seriously react to that...

He almost felt dizzy. It was... Virgil, right there! He hadn't seen him in a long time. Last time he caught a glimpse of Virgil was at his own Halloween party, but they hadn't talked. In fact, Aeron had probably avoided Virgil and Virgil had probably done the same with Aeron. Was it awkwardness or something? Oh but Aeron hated to feel awkward. Maybe he should just go. Maybe he should just find another club to hang out at... but no, he was not doing that! He could do this, he could prove that he could handle this. He could handle Virgil in the same club as Aeron, not at a Halloween party or anything. He looked at the DJ again. Gods he still looked so good. Of course he did, he was a vampire! It's not like his looks would change beside what he wore. And from what Aeron could see from here, that was one hell of an outfit Virgil wore tonight. Of course he did... Virgil always wore something awesome. What had Aeron said once? That Virgil was just made of amazing. He shook his head and downed the drink in one last long gulp. The gorgeous DJ shouted something. He had something good going. Well duh, Aeron almost thought, when didn't he have something good going?

He asked the bartender for two tequila shots, downed them fast - apparently he needed the alcohol to stay cool. Aeron, who'd not had alcohol for years. But now he could have it, he took advantage of it. Then Aeron slid down from his stool and made his way to the dancefloor. He felt the alcohol work in his body and tried to cool down and focus on taking deep breaths in to calm his heart. Aeron slid his hands over the people he walked by, turning heads in the process and smiling at them. Yeah, he could do this. He could so do this. But he glanced sideways to the DJ booth as he was there, on the middle of the dancefloor... here, it would be impossible for Virgil to look at the crowd and avoid looking at Aeron, unless his eyes were closed. Maybe he just wanted to remind Virgil what he was missing? What he chose to miss, when he left Aeron... meanwhile he got into the rhythm easily, and he winked at a guy he'd seen looking at him. The guy moved his body in a dance over to Aeron, and Aeron let out a laugh and let himself be caught in the rhythm, the song, the dance and the eyes that would be on him now. Dancing closer and closer to that real human being he danced with now, who was even more drunk than Aeron. Grinding himself up against Aeron, who ran his hands down over the other's chest. And if he closed his eyes, pretending to just feel the music, he could imagine that he was dancing with the one playing the music... and his dance just turned out even more naughty because of that thought.

Virgil couldn't miss a face like Aeron's in a crowd. Aeron wasn't the elder vampire's first love, but he was certainly a love that stood out among his past memories. The minute Virgil caught a flash of dark hair and stylish, studded boots... he just knew it. Hell, he could even smell the kid among the hot, moving bodies on the dance floor and the booze at the bar. Virgil tried to ignore what he saw and kept going, telling himself that it wasn't something he wanted to engage in. Aeron was irrelevant at the moment... right now, he had to do his job.
And he DID do his job... very well, in fact. After throwing in a quick comment, he continued on with his set, his headset looped around the base of his neck. He kept his attention on his turntable, not bothering to look into the crowd until the end of a particularly heavy bass-centric song.

When he did look up, he almost winced again. There was Aeron.. RIGHT there in the crowd... in that sea of moving people. Oh god. He could have thrown up right there. Just seeing Aeron made his stomach flip and his head swim. And Virgil could smell the guy even better, now. The kid was doing this on purpose... he was tantalizing Virgil with everything he had left behind and showing him JUST what he was missing. Yes. THIS was intentional. Virgil tried to remain calm, his smile fading and his eyes darting back to his turntable. What was he playing again? Right a Mint Royale track or.. something. When Virgil dared to glance up again, Aeron was letting his hands explore some twinky little trick who was more than a little inebriated. What a tease.
The vampire's eyebrow rose, watching the scene as he effortlessly spun his records.

He could play this game.

Virgil quickly changed the track, flipping a few records around and deciding on a groovy, 70s sounding record, but obviously by a modern artist. The lyrics talked about an 'American boy' and included some nice little raps by a collaborator. Virgil turned up the bass a bit and turned his attention to the front of the crowd... where a few girls danced together. One caught his eye... a brunette that reminded him of Bailey. Perfect. She matched his gaze from her spot and then blushed into her drink while Virgil winked. The girl acted coyly, chewing on her bottom lip... he had her in his grasp, practically. After a moment or two of exchanging flirty glances and winks, Virgil left his post briefly to kneel on the edge of the stage where she went to meet him for what seemed to be a chat. Soon, Virgil was up on his feet again, sending another wink in the girl's direction. He strolled back to his turntable and let his eyes find Aeron in the crowd again, smirking. "This one's for those two sexy blokes over there..." he said into the microphone, his voice lowering into a smooth purr while his hand pointed out Aeron and his dancing partner. "You two should get a room..."
