Cloud And Aeriths Love Was Forced?, from a fan

I dont know if this is the right place to put this topic but I was scanning through a gameinformer magazine and theres this section on final fantasy 7 remake and what the fans would like to change(it had only pictures of cloud and aerith ) but getting to the point a fan wrote that he felt that Cloud and Aeriths love was forced

It'd be intersting to see more of a choice in the love triangle between Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith where the player makes the ultimate decision on who to be with similar to the love triangles in Jade Empire or Mass Effect.

Kinda seems like he ships Cloti. Now what does he mean by forced I was confused I know its by a fan but what he said kinda bothered me do you think or felt that Cloud and Aeriths love was forced? and what does he mean saying that it was forced?

He means exactly that. To him, the game tried to force Cloud's and Aerith's love on the player. Instead of giving the player the ultimate choice in who Cloud loved, the game pushed for Aerith. He feels the game should have allowed the player more control in the LT area, instead of clearly pushing for Aerith and Cloud to be in love. It seems that maybe he would rather Tifa be the one for Cloud, and wished he could have decided on that.

Remember, this is just this fan's opinion, though.

I've always seen this as a forum related suggestions and help section (and I suppose every other technical question can go here as well), so let's move this.
All game related questions should stay in their appropriate sections, if only to make it more easy for everyone to find what they are looking for.

AerisStrife... were those pictures of Cloud and Aerith from the Compilation titles? Or were they new pics from the remake?

But okay no remake... well frankly I think it's better that way as I stated in the other thread. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Ahh, that would be cool! If only though.

Cloud and Aerith's love isn't really forced per se. It's more like, they had a whole lot of interactions throughout the game that seemed romantic or whatever, like the date at gold saucer, Caith Sith's fortune, the FF7 commercial. All that was to make their "love that couldn't be" all the more tragic. It was to build dramatic suspense/effect (?) for what was soon to come [Aerith's death].

I don't believe that Cloud and Aerith's love was forced at all. If Aerith would've lived at the end of the game, I really do believe that she and Cloud would've gotten together to make make their feelings for each other even stronger for one another. If you ask me CloudxTifa love seemed like a forced pairing more than any other pairing in FF VII.

It was no more or less forced than any other characters interactions during the game.

The person writting this probably just didn't like Aeris.
