Not sure exactly where it's from, it's labeled as AC playback. Someone posted it on TLS and they have their translators on it but I thought you guys might like to see it too.

From the little snippits I gathered there's something in there about Cloud and Tifa having a hard time and maybe it would have been better with Aerith >_>

Can't say that I'm surprised. I was expecting something like this ever since they made such a big deal out of Zack and Aerith in Crisis Core and it appealed so much to the masses. People have a thing where they want a main to get their guy/girl and to Zack Aerith is his girl. Western public seems to be Cloud/Tifa for the same thing (compared to say Japan) - Tifa was kinda Cloud's "girl" when he was a kid. Seems to me SE is just going with the public flow of opinion. Doesn't mean people have to like it though.

I wonder if there's anything positive we can take out of this ... Cloud "Awakens" in *Aerith's* Church ... Aerith and Zack say something like he doesn't belong with them "yet" Does that mean he'll be with them/Aerith some day?

Eh the more I look at it the less worse it looks. Especially with that thing "maybe it would have been better with Aerith" That works towards the interp that Aerith was a possible *romantic* interest for Cloud. That's what I can't stand when people write Aerith of as practically nothing to Cloud. Of course I'm a hybrid anyway so I'm not arguing against Cloud/Tifa but I'm going to squeeze out everything I can get for Cloud/Aerith ^__^ I think there are plenty of things that point towards the Cloud/Aerith pairing and the fact that it was is a valid FFVII interp as well even if it's saying Cloud's Promised Land is with his family.

I'm sorry, am I missing something where this tells us anything we didn't already know? So Cloud forgives himself, no longer feels lonely and decides to live....oh wow, I thought he wanted to kill himself at the end! Why do people get so worked up over the same recycled stuff? Point out to me where it defines either girl as more than a friend. If the "place" where Cloud wakes is the Promised Land...well he wakes in the Church right? Aerith's Church, and the Church where he made some kind of a Shrine to Zack, all in all the Church definitely got more attention in ACC. I'm okay with Aerith and Zack leaving together, if SE were trying to sell us those two and their wonderful lifestream romance then they severely messed up with Aerith's novella now, didn't they?

That's what I think too Vixie ... so what are they saying that Aerith loved Cloud more than her first love/Cloud is her kiobito but she died and has to be in the lifestream with Zack tough luck? I don't think that is what Aerith wants. So yeah.

Even if it says Cloud's place is with his family at this time I believe that Aerith moved/was moving on from Zack and loved Cloud. You can't just go back to an old relationship just like that. I'd say that no matter what they did/do with Cloud and Tifa. Zeris just doesn't work anymore.

"The place where he awakens"= Aerith's Church. It didn't say that the people surrounding Cloud were his Promised Land, it said the place, which is Aerith's Church. This screams ClAeris to me, and confirms to me the reason why Cloud went there so often.

Cloud realizes he can go live at Seventh Heaven again with his family, free from regret. And this is something we didn't know???

Once again, this confirms that Cloud felt lonely prior to realizing that Aerith and Zack are still with him. If only Aerith and Zack are able to make Cloud not feel lonely, how does that scream CloTi? Being with Tifa obviously wasn't enough to keep Cloud from feeling alone. Feeling alone=/= romance.

Once again, we are given a bunch of crap we already knew and moronic rabids are crowing about it. I just don't get it.

Finally Cloud's promised land is made clear. Umm, and doesn't that mean Cloud's promised land is the church?? That is where he awakens.

So everyone around in the Church at the moment is still categorized as his friends? Including Tifa? Looks like Tifa isn't Cloud's "koibito."

I did look at it last night..... tried to atleast. And quite frankly, the quote doesn't prove Cloti nor Clourith. To be blunt, it's Nojima contradicting the whole thing. Just like usual.

Can't believe I just went to that cesspool of a forum, but I'll post this for anyone who wants to see.

Basically it says things will never be ok between Cloud and Tifa. And that even if the Geostigma and Sephiroth were gone, problems would still exist.
Then it says things could have gone well with Aerith, but she's dead.
Which is what "burden" represents. Her death.

, I'm sorry, I just looked at the last part. I swear Cloti's like to believe that Cloud opens his heart up to Tifa, yet this quote clearly proves that he doesn't open up...at ALL.

I know the othersiders are probably saying that this proves Cloud and Tifa in a relationship, even if it did, it's proving that it's a bad relationship and that it will never be ok between them.

In my opinion, this hurts the Cloud/Tifa pairing more then it helps it. But I'm sure they think otherwise.

I agree with what others have said here, although I have a bit of a different take on it:

Okay, the place Cloud awakens is actually *the water pool in Aerith's Church* - to me, the water pool in the Church is the same as the water that fell during the Great Gospel rain scene, the scene where Cloud looks enraptured by every touch of rain as though it's the caress of Aerith.

Isn't that pool of water infused with pure Lifestream? As I understand it, the water heals Geostigma because it's infused with pure Lifestream that "fights off" the negative Lifestream introduced by Sephiroth. Therefore, where Cloud awakens is pure Lifestream - which is where Aerith is.

I agree with FFG - it isn't talking about the *people* who are there as Cloud's "Promised Land". It's the pool of water and/or Aerith's Church where he awakens - so that is his "Promised Land". If you interpret it that way, it makes sense for the movie to end with a picture of Aerith's Church. After all, that's his "Promised Land". As FFG said, that's also why he goes there so often.

As for Aerith and Zack leaving to go back to the Lifestream, that's nothing new. We already knew that. CoL-White makes it clear that there's nothing Zerith about them leaving together. As for Cloud being able to forgive himself, we already knew that, too. He's able to forgive himself because Aerith let him know that she never blamed him

It says that he's meant to live with his friends and family. Again, didn't we already know that? I also think this is VERY interesting:

Cloud no longer has to suffer in loneliness...

Doesn't that mean that Cloud suffered in loneliness between FFVII and AC/ACC, while living with his friends and family? If Cloud were as close to them as Cloti's want to believe, then why was he suffering in loneliness?

Does the quote say that Cloud romantically loves Tifa? No. Actually, it says that Aerith is very dear to Cloud. So I don't see anything Cloti about it.

As for this quote:

The bit about things would've gone better if Aerith were around - to me, that means there would have been less tension between Cloud and Tifa if Aerith were around. It also says the *burden* on Cloud is because he lost Aerith. If anything, that just reinforces our idea that he went to Aerith's Church because he misses Aerith.

Again, to me that reinforces Clerith, not Cloti.

What's so Cloti about this? I see more romantic implications towards Aerith/Cloud and more confirmation of a rocky relationship between Cloud and Tifa. I love how it's translated as 'she' in one of the paragraphs. It feels like it's meant to bring feeling to the reader, to emphasize how much Aerith is meant to Cloud. That 'she' is mysterious and special. Haha...

I interpreted it quite differently. Let's leave it at that, unless I get permission from the mods to expand upon it.

The second quote is like whoa though.... at first I was like "Is he saying there WAS more than just friendship between Cloud and Tifa... then he says it might not work out... but it also might."

Thus the love triangle debate continues.

Ahaha, I'm not facepalming at you or the Clerith quote Quexinos, you were justified in bringing it up. It's just that the stuff about them not working even without Cloud's problems, him not opening up and Aerith being a better option just comes across as pairing bait to me and an obvious attempt to appease both sides from SE. I didn't mean to offend you but that shit is blatant!

Absolutely nothing new here. This paragraph really doesn't tell us anything we didn't already know, so I don't see it as a threat. Let's also not forget that Tifa in CoT states that their family is made up of friends. Just because Cloud is going to live with his family doesn't mean that Tifa and Cloud are shacking up, or that 'family' indicates that they are romantically involved. His family is ALL of Avalanche. They're all there, standing there waiting for Cloud to come back.

The emphasis on "she" also is very interesting. Certainly highlights Aerith.

I do find it awesome though that the Church/water pool is referred to as Cloud's promised land. <3333

I'm not sure if it's okay for me to ask this, but I would like to see what your view is Quexinos. Because I don't see how it's seen as Cloti. You don't have to answer though and I'm not trying to debate or anything I'm just honestly wondering.
