Phoenix Wright has no place in a fighting game

Peach has no place in a fighting game.


But she's in one.

Peach is in a Nintendo game, has been in RPGs, Racing, and Sports games. She is fine. Phoenix is not.

What about Roll from the Megaman series? She's a robot whose only function is to clean, and yet, she's appeared in MvC, MvC2, and TvC.

Roll was a playable character in Megaman Powered Up and has been known to be able to hold her own against robot masters before.. Phoenix has not.

Game and Watch is a part of Brawl and still has a more believable move set then anything they could come up with for Phoenix...nuff said...

Considering Captain Falcon didn't see like he had any place in a fighting game before Brawl either, I don't see Phoenix Wright being too big of a stretch.

Although actually, Godot would probably be an infinitely better choice now that you mention it.

Can you really use that? Like Roll, Peach appeared in a game and took on the responsibility of Mario, fighting Bowser himself.

In his own series, Captain Falcon is also considered a Super Hero as well as a racer. Phoenix Wright is a lawyer....a very...wimpy lawyer....Let me paint you a scene:

Announcer: FIGHT!!!

Wolverine: I'm going to shiskabob you bub!

Wright: OBJECTI- *Wolverine proceeds to disembowel him* MY SPLEEN!!! OH GOD THE PAIN!!!

Roll is a android with super human strength. Peach is Queen of the Mushroom Kingdom, and even before Super Princess Peach, was shown to be able to handle herself in a fight.

Wright gets his ass handed to him constantly by normal people.

He does live through a horrible fall into rapids that has always resulted in death, with no one ever finding the body.

He's definitely tough, if nothing else.

Phoenix Wright has taken a puch before, so he has been in fights.
He has been able to break down solidly locked doors, so he has genuine strength.
He has used a wide variety of weapons as evidence, so his specials are covered. Otherwise, his suitcase could work too.
He has jumped cliffs, and though he failed, it showed that he has agility, and also good defence for surviving severe damage.


Congratulations, your evil plan to make me waste 10 minutes over-looking into this has succeeded.

Of course, we know who would be a much better choice.

Besides, in a fighting game that isn't part of his series, canon doesn't matter.


They could make his badge shoot lasers and cause his ultra OBJECTION or whatever to summon Gumshoe and Badd to beat up suspects (the opponent.)

Frank's main move set involves zombies, wrestling moves, and the such. Things he is known for from his game. The only thing that Phoenix is known for is falling off cliffs, and getting whipped by little girls. Also interrupting people...

What you are missing here is that Frank West was a normal person. The only powers he used to kill weak, mindless, decaying walking corpses and other people were skills that any other person could use.

Unless he could leap a tall building in a single bound or punch through walls, his capabilities are not out of the range of Wright's.
