Hi, I am a student at Indiana University and I'm working on a how-to article for a journalism class that will explore ways for Christian parents to monitor what their children watch. Recent studies suggest that the MPAA rating system is confusing and misleading. I would like to see what parents are doing in response to that. Do you screen what your children watch with movie analysis sites like screenit.com or do you offer alternatives to mainstream movies or do you keep your children from watching movies at all? I would also like to offer readers alternatives to mainstream movies. I have already talked to a home-schooling mother of three who has helped her children develop an interest in classic films. If you have taken any kind of action in response to the content of modern cinema and the confusing MPAA rating system, please let me know. Thanks, Dusty McDonald.
