What are some good ideas for dates? Whether you are dating or married, sometimes it's hard to think of fun things to do on a date.

Let's see..dates? I've been to the zoo for a first date before. That was interesting and fun. Unlike going to a movie, you get to talk and joke around about the animals. We fed birds and "talked" to the bears. It was fun. I also like going bowling or to play pool. My cousin and her boyfriend always just go shopping. They find some new store neither of them have been in and go look around. I also love packing a picnic and going to sit at the park for an afternoon date. Hope this helps.

Shopping at a new store is kind of a fun idea! For those that don't know each other well it's a way neat way to get each other's tastes and just talk. As much as I love movies, it's just not a good way to get to know each other. At least if you go see one, both should have plans for coffee or ice cream afterwards to discuss it.

Thanks for your input! wink.gif

Sometimes I think the best dates are the the ones where little to no money is spent. Russ and I have, on occasion, gotten our girls out of the house for an overnighter just to come home and be with each other.

A walk in the park or to an arboretum is a good idea. My mom said that when she and my dad were broke, they would go to a restaurant, decide on one thing and then split it. Then, they'd take a walk afterwards.

Movies are overrated in my opinion as far as dates go. It's more important to spend time interacting than just sitting together. Bowling is fun and I'm a huge fan of skating.

But as I ma married and am allowed to do other "activities", it's hard for me to be creative. laugh.gif
