Cindi: I have another big treat. We're going to talk to the newest member of General Hospital Laura Wright. Now we didn't see much of her today on GH but that's ging to change hugely tomorrow and we'll get our first peak at Laura Wright in the role of Carly. And Wright is no stranger to daytime, you might know her from her role as Cassie, which she's wonderful in, on Guilding Light, where she was for 8 years and was one of the headliners and now she's jumped ship and the state, excuse me the country, to come onboard to Genereal Hospital. I want to introduce you to Laura Wright. Hi Laura

LW: Hi Cindi

Cindi: How are you?

LW: I'm good

Cindi:WE have not met but we are going to. Being with GL for such a long time, how did they take..at GL� take the news that you were leaving the show

LW: Ummm.. you know� For me really they were really excited and happy but they were really sad.

Cindi: Well, the character� Carly the character is such a huge� as you know.

LW: Yes I know.

Cindi: Were you nervous about playing Carly after Sarah Brown, Tamara Braun and Jennifer Bransford?

Lw: No..I..I couldn't wait to jump in and kick butt. And I knew I could .I just felt like this oppurtunity came at a perfect time in my life and I knew that it was meant for me to, um, do this. So I couldn't wait to. Yeah I'm a biggie on things are meant to be and this was defiantly meant to happen.

Cindi: Yeah and you brought your whole family clear out here.

LW: Yep, everybody came.

Cindi: How would you describe Carly?

LW: *giggles* ummm� Scarlett O'Hara

Cindi: Hey that's good.

LW: Yeah defiantly. She is just umm..a bundle of fun, she�s dramatic,she's crazy, she's manipulative but she's sweet, innocent and charming all at the same time

Cindi: Boy you have nailed her right down, right now. Now, how have you been in scenes with and who are you looking forward to be in scenes with?

LW: I've been in scenes with Ted King, Maurice Benard�umm..Steven� Who else have I worked with?....oh umm. my doctor the character Lainey,�.. oh gosh

Cindi: and let me ask you � let me back up� how was it working with Mo?

LW: He's is absolutely amazing. He really is just one of the most interesting actors I've ever worked with umm. He's 100% supportive, has been supportive since I've walked in, and we've had a great time because I've had to go back and recreate scenes that where done by Sarah, Tamara and Jennifer.

Cindi: oh have you really?

LW: almost the climax of every story she's had I've had to go in and retape so..so the audience could see me in the role playing the past and so ..which was great for me to have a chance

Cindi: Sure. well first of all , well I'm a big fan of Cassie from GL so I know how good you are and another thing is , How bout Steve Burton because Steve, everytime I interview him he calls me his little cutie and he�s really quiet and he tease�s a lot

LW: Steve has had me laughing from the second I walk on set with him until we walk off He is one of the most funniest guys I've ever worked with and from the start� you know.. they...from the start, both him and Maurice.. . I was all about history of the character and want to know you know and the relationships, she�s had with each person and so they were just right there to help me. Steve and I clicked the second we walked on screen together we had the Carly/Jason relationship.

Cindi: wow, you tell those handsome dudes that Cindi said hello.

LW: *giggles*

Cindi: And thank you for taking the time to talk to us and we look forward to seeing you in the role I know you�re going to rock

LW: thanks

It's going to be so weird watching the "retaped" scenes that are of Carly's past! I wonder if we are going to get a redone CarLo wedding...we can hope :)
