Aerosoft’s France 2

Nestled in the heart of East Coast Europe France caters to a variety of different commuter needs. From international air travel with Charles-De-Gaulle, to building next generation aircraft at Toulouse, or handling beachgoers in Biarritz. All of these airports effectively handle air travel. From luggage to navigating your way to your gate, these airports are amongst the forerunners in the European air industry. All airports are frequented by travellers and simmers alike requiring an add-on to cover these areas in Microsoft Games Flight Simulator 2004.
As is to be expected from Aerosoft this product uses the trouble-free easy to use installation system. No internet connection is required, and installs directly into your Flight Simulator. It does not require an expert simmer to use this scenery, making it a lot more valuable and applicable to every user out there. Any boxed product which is bought from the Aerosoft shop will not require an internet connection adding an extended accessibility to this package.
After the installation is time to actually use your scenery, which is why we bought it! The sceneries are extremely easy to find. All are put under the country France where it should be, the cities are not altered to say what the developer wants such as seen with other add-ons. Also you can clear the filter and just type in your Airport Id Codes, it’s that simple. As using this add-on isn’t a hard task for any simmer, is it worth the money though.
Paris’ Charles De Gaulle is the second most travelled airport in all of Europe. Handling over 51 million passengers a year takes a lot of planning, organization, and knowledge. This airport caters to over 200 airlines and is never dull. There is always traffic coming in and out of this airport making sure the ATC controllers don’t take a break. With careful planning, CDG runs smoothly by utilizing its four runways. Clearly a simmers’ favourite, Charles De Gaulle is in need of a redo. Aerosoft’s team has fortunately taken the reins to this project and done an amazing job on it. The layout is correct, the buildings are accurate, and the ground textures are extremely realistic. This is a remarkable achievement considering that there is a photography restriction on this airport. Due to this restriction it is tough for freeware developers to acquire photorealistic texturing. There are many animations in the airport including gates, and hangers as well as many hidden Easter eggs. Aerosoft has successfully done justice to the airport of Paris Charles De Gaulle.

The future of airline technology lies between Airbus’ A380 and Boeing’s 787. Both have received much raving comments, and criticism. Toulouse is at the front with Airbus, the development of the A380 has been designed an is being tested at this site. As well Toulouse-Blagnac also caters to various different international airlines handling traffic to that area. Aerosoft captures Toulouse-Blagnac in all of it’s beauty, and has included it in this package. The main passenger terminal has been modelled to perfection, and features photorealistic textures. On the other side of the airport you can find the Airbus hangers. Also featured are static models in Airbus house colours, ranging from the Beluga to the A380.. The airport ground textures are magnificent, and continues the quality of the France 2 project. Aerosoft has done a great job on integrating Toulouse-Blagnac into flight simulator. This airport is yet another reason to get this awesome package from Aerosoft.
Last but definitely not least in this package is the little known airport of Biarritz. Lightly travelled by Air France, Ryanair, and small private airlines this airport brings tourists to the vast beaches, and picturesque views of Biarritz. Despite the small size of this airport, a tremendous amount of detail has been put into this airport. The same quality and detail on the buildings as seen in CDG and Toulouse-Blagnac is seen in Biarritz as well. Photorealistic textures are used on the buildings and the ground making the airport a very realistic one.

All airports in this add-on feature moving traffic. This is a great add-in to your airports but often does run away with your frame rates. The France 2 package isn’t the best one out there in regards to frame rates. CDG runs very smooth, but hits are seen when I load Toulouse-Blagnac and Biarritz. They are not significant hits, and still allow a fluid use of these airports but when put into comparison with an add-on such as Frankfurt-Main this add-on isn’t as performance friendly. This scenery will however run terrific on any medium-high computer out there.
The real quality in this package comes not from its frame rates. It comes from the three highly detailed airports included in one package. This product sells for the same price as one, and is definitely worth considering. As with many Aerosoft products you get more than what you paid for and the same applies to France 2. Added up CDG and Toulouse come out to 40 Euros. This package sells for 35 Euros and throws Biarritz into it as well. All airports are extremely detailed and offer a perspective of France to simmers around the world. For their tremendous work, on this extremely valueable package I award Aerosoft an 8.5 out of 10 for France 2.
