Jeffco airport is now officially Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport! :censored:
We get to call it Jeffco until the 25th, then its 'metro'. I talked to a few pilots at BJC yesterday, and I haven't yet found one that likes the new name.

I flew yesterday, by the way. Stalls, slow flight, touch and goes, engine out procedures, but the highlight was the short approach at the end! Short approaches are really fun! :D

Was there a chance for pilots to voice there opinion on the :new: name for the airport? If not I can understand their displeasure in the name change :thumbsdown: . Thanks for sharing this news Ben :yes: . Happy Flying.

As far as I know, there was not. If there was, it seems as if advocates for the new name did their best to stop the word from spreading, typical....

It doesn't make sense to me. If it had something to do with sponsorship I would iunderstand but there are no corporate brand names in the airport.
