We had something of this sort available in the sidebar but it will help me tremendously to have an updated list here for everyone to see and reference. If you have a question about what you can or cannot make at this time, please check back here frequently. This list will change depending on what we are in need of.

ALL POSITIONS ARE ON A FIRST-COME-FIRST-SERVE BASIS. If a position has been previously reserved I will state that here. Thank you.

Dragons:

• Gold: We have 2 queens at present. Only one of them is capable of clutching. We will not be accepting queen characters. Until someone impresses one on our sands, Airith or an NPC’d Southern queen will be our only clutch-producing golds. Please do not ask us for a queen. Nothing irritates admins more than queenchasers.
  
  
• Bronze: We currently have 7 bronzes. 2 of them are ONPC’s and therefore do not count towards our active total. So that leaves us five. There is one reserved spot for a player-created character at this time made by someone who reserved it when the site first started. For now the admin decision is that you may not create a bronzerider at this time.
  
  
• Brown: At this time, you may not create a brownrider. We have one spot reserved for someone who reserved it back when the site first started but that is it. Keep in mind that browns are ranking dragons and will be treated as such. Thus, we cannot generally offer them up on platters. Please ask before creating a mutation.
  
  
• Blue: We are currently accepting all male-ridden blueriders. If you would like to create a female bluerider please let us know ahead of time. They are much rarer and we’ll be slightly more scrutinizing of your profile if you wish to bring one in. Please ask before creating a mutation.
  
  
• Green: There are no limits on the number of greenrider creations and there never will be. Male or female riders are welcomed with open arms. Feel free to have as many greenriders as you want. Greens make up nearly half of a Weyr’s population so we will never turn our nose up at one! Please ask before creating a mutation. If your green is under two turns of age, unless we decide we need another clutch, her flight will most likely not produce a fertile clutch.

Whers:

• Gold: No. There is currently only one gold wher at Caislean and there will not be another until it is impressed during a hatching.
  
  
• Bronze: There are currently no more bronze handler slots available on creation. All other bronze whers will be obtained through Impression in one of our clutches.
  
  
• Brown: There is currently 1 brown slot available and one in reserved status! They will be carefully reviewed but not as strictly as bronze. There is no preference between a male or female handler as whers do not choose by gender.
  
  
• Blue: There is no limit to blue creation at this time. There is no preference between a male or female handler as whers do not choose by gender.
  
  
• Green: No green whers can be brought in at this time without express admin permission. Those that are brought in will be infertile. We understand that they, like green dragons, are the most common color but they also clutch. To keep our numbers under control, all clutching whers will be obtained during a hatching and your green wher’s eggs are not guaranteed to hatch impressing wherlings.

Fire Lizards:

Fire lizards, more commonly known among the Pern-fandom as Flitts, are very rare in modern Pern. In the wild, these creatures are nearly extinct. Thus, all fire lizards will be obtained through moderated clutches and you may not create one with your character. You may also obtain a fire lizard through contests and in the adoption forum. Please keep an eye out for them.

Each character is welcome to have a maximum of three flits. Between all of your characters, ONPC’s included, you may have a maximum of 6 fire lizards.


Candidates:

Are always welcome with opened arms, though we much prefer males to females. Please read THIS before creating a candidate character. There are no limits on how many candidates you can have at a time as long as they follow these rules. Also, keep in mind that even though you may have a handful of candidates on the sands, probably only one is going to impress at a time.

It also needs to be reiterated (though it’s in our hatching information) that your female candidate will most likely impress green. We have no exclusively female colors besides gold and if you choose to bring in a female candidate, we are assuming you have no problem with her riding a green dragon.


Crafters:

For a list of craft professions please go HERE. We are accepting journeymen and apprentices. Please ask if you wish to make a master of any craft. These applications will be looked over carefully.


Other Positions of Power:

• Lord Holders: We currently have two NPC Lord Holders of Kalgir hold. If you wish to make a Lord Holder of Half-Circle Sea Hold or Nerat Hold, please ask first so that we may work with you. Not many people like to play outside the Weyr so please keep that in mind.
  
  
  I feel it necessary to add that if you already have a ranking character (and this goes for whers, weyrstaff, or dragonriders) and you ask to make another one rather than impress one, the answer will most likely be "no". This isn't a personal insult so please don't take it as one. We just don't want the same people to have all of Caislean's important figures. Don't ask for "exceptions" to made for you just because you know the admins like you. This makes us feel like jerks. Thanks.
