CWF Hot Wired comes to a controversial close!!
Two big shockers rocked CWE to its core this past Sunday, at Hot Wired.
After costing Yusei Takayama the covetted RISE World title, the Patriot cashed in his 'Meal Ticket' title shot which he won on the last ever edition of RISE Redemption.
Using this title shot, The Patriot pinned Julian Troy, the retaining champ, to steal the belt from the man he had helped earn victory moments prior.
What will happen this week on CWE Redemption, with the sinister Patriot as the brand's champion?
To make matters worse, Donald Titan ordered the main event be changed to a Job vs Title match at the last moment, forcing Dan Kaeden to defend his belt against Sol Sabian, who's job was on the line.
Sabian fought hard, but ultimately lost to Kaeden. The champion's victory was bittersweet, and while he kept his title, the Bowery Boy doomed his long time rival to unemployment.
Sabian had some choice words for Donald Titan and the other powers that be, but was cut off as the show went off the air.
With one title without a contender, and the other in the hands of a backstabbing villain, what state has CWE been left in, before it's long awaited return to television?

LIVE FROM CAIRO, EGYPT Brought to You by: TITAN POWERSunday, October 18, 2009 ==== The crowd was in full throat as the show started, the first live CWF event in a long, LONG time, to go out over the TV. This is also the very last RISE PPV technically.
The recently renewed TV contract allowed CWF fans from across the African continent to come together and chant 'C-Dub-Eff!' in whatever broken English they knew. A bunch of RISE posters and chants could be heard.
The show started with a pyrotechnic volley, then the first match begun.Match 1:WORMZ vs Ryan Extreme -- After the attacks by Ryan Extreme on WORMZ, and his father Admiral Gentleman durign the months that led up to this confrontation, the one-sided feud finally came to a boiling point in the first contest.
Extreme took a beating to WORMZ early in the opening minute of the match, falling prey to a teased roll-up victory for WORMZ on three separate occasions.
WORMZ was getting hit hard when Admiral Gentleman got up at ringside and got in Extreme's face. Extreme again assaulted the old man, leading to what can only be described as a WORMZ style "Hulk-Up", in which the perennial loser took it to Extreme with a volley of fists followed by WORMZ using the "Uppercrust Uppercut" - Admiral Gentleman's finishing move.
The match wasn't over there, however, WORMZ boarded the top turnbuckle and called for a "It Came from New Jersey" to finish the match. The attack missed however, and WORMZ flew into an admittedly impressive "Flying Roll-up" by Extreme who stole the match.
A beatdown ensued, until Admiral Gentleman got into the ring and Uppercrust Uppercutted Extreme. This one was legit and sent him to the outisde. WORMZ and his father celebrated in the ring.Winner: Ryan Extreme Match 2:Mitchell Dawkins vs Ironsides Ironside and his son put on a disappointingly short match. Going little over two minutes, ironsides hit his signature moves on his son, but missed the battleship Driver that would end the match. Dawkins hit a battle Ship Driver of his own, capitalizing on an eye rake to end the match.Winner: Mitchell Dawkins Match 3:RISE Wrestling Tag Team ChampionshipBilly Blaze + Leon Saint Dane vs Ace + Spade An impressive display of flying wrestlers was a big turn around form the previous match. Going on for about 20 minutes, this match featured quick tags, double-teams and lots of high rent district based attacks.
A series of moonsaults from Ace and Spade failed to put down LSD, who tagged in Billy Blaze to end the match. Spade ended up getting isolated and nailed by John Stamos' Limousine. The Druggies retain (again).Winners and STILL RISE Wrestling Tag Team Champions: Billy Blaze and Leon Saint Dane Match 4:Dann Ryuji vs ShamWow Match was under thirty seconds. Ryuji got pined by the towel. Lots of booing throughout the affair. After the match, Donald Titan came out and fired Ryuji. Titan was trying to get heel-heat, but the crowd was happy to see Dann go.
Titan got a little heat back by making some poke about how bad things are in the region, and made a King Tut joke, but still got mostly cheers. Whatever.Winner: Did anyone REALLY win here? Match 5:RISE World Heavyweight ChampionshipJulian Troy vs Yusei Takayama Not the main event...wtf? Oh well.
Match was much shorter than expected. Sent about seven minutes. Yusei was stiff as shit. He hit a bunch of neat looking kicks and dominated the whole match, right up until The Patriot showed up at ringside. The Patriot was tauting fans who were nearby, then ended up slipping the World title belt to Troy when the ref was distracted. Patriot was being shouted at to leave by the Referee, and Troy nailed Takayama with the title. Troy picked up the win off the cheap shot.Winner and STILL RISE Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion: Julian Troy Match 6:RISE World Heavyweight ChampionshipJulian Troy vs The Patriot While Troy was celebrating, the Patriot rolled into the ring. The Patriot cashed in the title shot he won on the very last edition of RISE: Redemption. Before Troy figured out what was going on, The Patriot hit a "Clockwork Mango" on the champ and pinned him. Troy looked messed up after the move, I think the Patriot botched it. Troy got medical help while Patriot posed with the title.Winner and the NEW RISE Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion: The Patriot Main Event: Kaeden vs Sol Sabian CWF World Heavyweight ChampionshipFigured the show would end there, but instead Sabian vs Kaeden was last. Before the bell rang Donald Titan came out and announced that since he owned CWF, he was changing the match to be for Kaeden's World title. Titan said that he knows this is supposed to be RISE's last PPV, but he's the boss so he can do what he wants. The crowds finally boo for Titan.
Titan makes the match 'Job vs Title'.
The match begins and these guys work really stiff with each other. Sabian goes for the JFK at least three times in the first five minutes. Match goes abotu twelve minutes, and ends with Kaeden hitting an Evenflow, cleanly pinning Sabian. Kaeden retains.
The crowd chants "Please Don't Go' to Sabian. kaeden shakes Sol's hand and leaves with the belt.
Sabian gets on the mic and says that he's actually leaving the company, and that it's his last pay per view, so 'fuck what they want me to say'. Sabian trashes Titan, and CWF, saying that RISE will always be the best wrestling, but that the new RISE will be 'Watered Down bullshit'. Sabian seems to have more to say but his mic gets cut and the show fades to the CWF logo pretty quickly. Live crowd says he railed on CWF for a good ten minutes.Winner and STILL the CWF World Heavyweight Champion: Kaeden This post has been edited by Boomtax on Oct 13 2009, 04:13 AM
