Midlight had found a pretty large deer, one with lots of meat. He was crouched down, waiting for the right time. He jumped up, and attacked the deer. Pretty soon, he had the deer down, and blood was everywhere.

He ate a leg, then tried to drag the deer closer to home.

Moonbeam limped out of her den and eased to the ground. She was still exhausted, but feeling better. She watched Midlight attempt to drag the deer that must've been at least twice his size. She smirked as he got closer.

Moonbeam wondered where Shadow and Kammy had gone off to. Last time any of them had seen each other, Kammy was on her rampage. Moonbeam knew Shadow had visited when she was sleeping because she had awoken to a black tuft of hair tickling her nose.

Midlight saw Moonbeam sitting outside the den. He was happy that she was getting better. "Haw arh youh?" he mumbled, with the deer in his mouth.

"Feeling better." she replied distantly, as if something was bothering her or she was thinking. She had begun her old habit, the good ol' swaying of the tail as she thought.

When her thought returned to the present, she looked at Midlight and said, "What about you? You're temporary Alpha now, I don't know why your not eating already." she sighed to herself.

"What was I thinking? Midlight isn't cut out to be an Alpha.... he still acts like a pup and a low rank wolf....." she sighed again and rested her head on her paws as her tail continued to sway.

"Because you need you're strength back, and I already ate on the way back. I killed a rabbit, so don't worry. I'll be fine," he replied. He wasn't sure what to do next, so he sat down.

"I'm not hungry." she replied discouraged. She was still worried about Shadow. She sensed another presence in the lands, but far off. It was one she did not know. She still sensed Shadow but he was faint, as if he had changed.

Moonbeam sighed and gazed longingly at Midlight. How she wished to have fun, but this was not the proper way for an Alpha to act. She was to lead, not follow. And besides, she was too weak. She could barely move as it was.

Moonbeam figgited. He could sense a new aura in the lands, one that he reconized. He couldn't sense Shadow or Kammy anywhere, and this worried him. "Are you strong enough to go for a walk Moonbeam. I want to check something out, but I don't want to leave you," he asked her.

Moonbeam nodded and struggled to her feet. She wasn't strong enough, but she had to check on the others. She limped her way over to Midlight.

"Ready?"

"Ready." They made there way slowly donw the side, stopping every once in a while to help Moonbeam. He smiled as he watched his leader try to get down the bank without crying out. Finally they were at the bottom. "Which way should we go?" he asked, and waited for a reply.

OOC: Have fun! =D

Moonbeam lifted her muzzle to the sky and began to sniff. "Right. I smell Shadow, their in Hakaku Forest. There's someone else there too, but I don't recognize their aura."

Moonbeam started towards the right and stumbled. When she was finally able to stand she winced. Pain surged through her body like a bolt of lightning. Even though it was the worst she had ever felt in her life, she lifted her head proudly and started again.

Moonbeam was proud of his leader. She wouldn't admit to pain, so neither would he. In the distance, he heard a noise, the sound of battle. He picked up his pace, but always waited for Moonbeam.

Moonbeam winced as her blood started to stain the rusty colored dirt beneath her paws. She kept her head high and wached as Midlight suddenly changed directions. He started leading towards the battle field but not exactly. It was as if he wanted to take a little detour.

Moonbeam began to lay out a map of the area in her mind. She was a well known strategist, and could plot skillful and deadly moves in her mind with zero effort. She could plot as many as the next one-hundred moves in her mind and effectively carry out each one with precision.

"I wounder if he is taking me to the...... no, that couldn't be it." Moonbeam sighed and tried to find another possible area Midlight could be leading Moonbeam to.

He turned left at the wolf head rock, leading Moonbeam away from the battle. "Where am I going? I must be leading her away from the battle, she can't get hurt. He started jogging, lost in his own thoughts. He wasn't paying attention, and he tripped over his paws.

Moonbeam snickered as Midlight stumbled. Her laugh was cut short by a jolt of pain down her back. She gasped as it ran down her back leg. She fell and a loud SNAP echoed through the forest. Moonbeam raised her head. Something odd just happened.

"My...my pain....it's....gone?" Moonbeam struggled to her feet and started walking in circles. Her legs were pain-free, and her back only ached a little. She almost felt normal, other than the deep gashed on her back and sides, and the scratches thta covered her body. Despite all this, she still maintained a healthy, moon-white color and her sleek fur glistened in the sun.

Midlight looked back, watching as Moonbeam walked in circles. "What happened? Are you ok? he asked, walking back to her. He cocked his head, smiling at Moonbeam's happy antics.
