History

About a 100 years ago there was a tragedy. No one can remember what happened. From the sky came two meteors, large enough to make it through the planet's atmosphere to the ground. When they hit a shockwave was created which passed all the way across the planet.

The strange thing is that the shockwave didn't kill all life... in fact all it seemed to do was destroy most villages and cities and change the landscape of the area where they landed: One landed in what is now called the Masked Mountains where in the middle of the mountains the object created a large volcano. The other meteor hit the area of Cirat, causing the strange weather that spread over the region. When the shockwave rolled over the planet it somehow affected everyone as it passed over them: People all over the world woke after the shockwave passed, completely void of memory of anything before the accident.

All records were destroyed in the earthquake which passed after the shockwave. Eventually the Cities rebuilt itself, but they couldn't help but wonder what had really happened... all they remember is the shockwave and waking up after it...

Not only did the shockwave wipe out the memories of the people, but it brought monsters with it. Creatures the world have never seen appeared, destroying towns, and roaming the wilds. Not only did the monsters appear but also normal people started to develop strange powers which they used internal energy life force. Using their special abilites (Techniques) these 'gifted' would take down their health, using their own life energy, but often miracles were created by it.

-The First and Second King-

The rest of the population were content with their new lives, rebuilding their cities and continuing on life, not wanting to find out the truth of what happened about 100 years ago, afraid of what they might uncover, or awaken. The people most interested were the ones with these special abilites. Most of them wanted to learn how they came upon these strengths, and they formed into clans. At first only a few clans formed: The Juggernauts, the Shadow, and the Beast Clan. The first King was a very prosperous King, despite the small scuffle for power, the first King managed to revive the contenent, spreading law and order back to the chaotic land. The clans prospered as well, starting to grow, accepting the other gifted who developed powers. However, after time, he eventually died, after naming his successor, who shortly after became the Second King.

The Second King also did well to revive the land, however, there was some unrest in the west, who were far away from the eastern capital and wanted their own rule. By this time more clans started to develop, such as the Life Clan, the Elemental Clan, and the Weapons Clan. As the clans started to grow so did contempt towards those who were gifted. The 'mundane' people ("normal" people) started to become jelous of the gifted, and were upset with them trying to find what happened in the past, thinking that they might be trying to gain in power and eventually rule. They turned on the gifted, causing riots and resulting in many deaths. The clans hid, trying to avoid the persecution that the King would not alleviate (More scared to get turned on by the majority than to be fair to the gifted).

The gifted started to build their own hidden cities, where they could feel safe. They didn't remove themselves from the community, but rather pretended to be "normal" and mundane as well. The Life clan hid in the forests of Iliel, and act as healers for both gifted and mundane. The Elementals retreated to their local escavation site: within the great Volcano of Olon. The Beast stayed within the dark forests of Tian. The Weapons cut all ties to the other Clans and went into the harsh and unforgiving desert, where none could bother them. The Juggernauts hid right under the noses of the mundane, in a place they would never excpect: Serving as guards for the King himself, right at the heart of the mundane capital. And the Shadow clan decided to simply vanish, quite literally, actually setting up powerful workings to make their buildings and headquarters invisible.

The unrest in the east grew, and something happened that triggered chaos: The Second King died without naming an heir.

- The Great War -

The west, tired of having to listen to a King on the opposite side of the continent, decided to take advantage of the chaos in the east that sprung up with the vacuum of power. The East started forming an army, lead by the Beast clan. The gifted and mundane decided to work together in order to rid the problem of the east, and quite possibly rule the continent. A good portion of the elementals joined the Beast clan and their mundane allies.

The East heard about the uprising in the west, as the terrifying army crept closer and closer. The East had no King and didn't have the numbers that the western army had. The Gifted took advantage of this crisis, offering their help if the mundane would accept them. The mundanes agreed, and so the Juggernauts, Shadow Clan, and Life clan joined forces with the Western army, however, not revealing where they had been hidden all those previous years. There were many years of small and large battles, but the raw power of the elementals and the feral strength of the Beast clan started to overpower even the combined might of the Juggernauts, Shadow, and Life.

The weapons clan, who had dissapeared in their desert, foresaw the chaos that would occur if the West were to win, and also recognized what the Eastern clans was trying to do for all gifted and decided to join the Eastern army. The great fighters were a great help, turning the tides of the war and forcing the Western army back. The Western army quickly started to lose power, but it wasn't until a few of the Elemental and Bast Clan, decided to join the Eastern side as well, completely shutting down the western resistance.

The general of the eastern army became the king, and held his promise, letting the clans come back and kept the persecution all but gone. Most mundanes were very grateful for the help of the gifted. The Few elementals that joined the eastern side rebuilt their own clans, restoring the previous clan's glory and restoring their clan's honor. This continued for many years, until about 20 years before present, when the third King died and the fourth took over.

- The Final part -

The fourth King was not a good King. It wasn't long before he turned on the pact that the previous king had made with the gifted, using his silver tongue to convince the mundanes, who were still a majority, that the gifted would turn on them and take over the crown, forcing the mundanes into slavery. The mundanes quickly gained fear, and ignorance. They turned on the gifted, brutally attacking them and killing many. The gifted, rather than fight back, retreated to their hiding places.

The King as well as the mundanes knew that they hadn't gotten rid of the gifted, but continued to hold a grudge against them, even to this day. Two new clans arised, the Sniper clan, who split from the shadow clan, joining the bandits, who decided to accept them, as long as they would help the bandits with their power. The second clan that rose a few years later was the Skills clan, who decided to use their power to increase their skills rather than develop "flashy" powers that would reveal them as who they really were and risk their lives. They quickly adapted to the mundane life, and used their skills to get into high-ranking positions in Allas and became the merchants of both the mundane and gifted.

Present-day, the fourth king is old and nearly dieing, a fifth king is yet to be named, and the clans still search for what happened roughly 100 years ago and search for relics of the past, awaiting a time when they wont have to hide anymore...

In attempts to learn the truth the clans would make caravans of up to four people to go into the wilds, beyond which the people would dare to wander, to learn and uncover the truth. The minimum age for the caravans are 16 years of age.
