Firstly, we're so excited your interested in AFA! We are a roleplay community focusing on a combination of character driven and staff initiated plots in a Modern Fantasy setting. We just want to take a moment out to let you know how things should work around here so you can enjoy the site's potential to the fullest:

1.) No Thread is -closed- to Admin/Mod Teacher charcters.

+What? WHY?+ Before you begin to protest, this does NOT mean we are sending in the authorities every time your character breaks a rule[Unless it is a board rule]. This mostly a means to discourage you from playing all rule-breaker threads. Everybody loves a rebel...but having sex in the library every other thread, and you start to run the risk of getting caught. Sneaking boys into your room after curfew on the regular? Guess what...?
-Note- Any problems that arise with this system, please take up directly with an Admin. We're pretty reasonable people.

2.) In this Universe Supernatural stuff happens.

+How does this affect ME?+ It means that if you are in the right/wrong place at the wrong/right time...your thread might get infiltrated by one of our SupeNPC accounts. But that's half the reason you're here, right.

+Also!+ Same goes for mystery clues. We know where things are that will help you solve the pending mystery. We won't hesitate to plant them in your thread if you are poised to discover. Collect all the clues you can and decide which side you're helping...if any!

3.) Real Stuff happens too.

+Real as in...?+ Contagious illnesses, magical afflictions, room checks, etc. If one student gets it, and you get too close, you might catch it too. You'll be notified by PM, and it will never be anything incurable or deadly, but it may happen from time to time. The Staff might start it, or you as members can start something...so long as you involve the Staff in coordinating it. Try not to overdo it, and remember, Herpes is forever...

4.) The Disclaimer/Warning:

+Oh Dear!+ When you sign on as an AFA member you agree to this type of interactive roleplay. We are a flexible administration if things go awry, and are happy to work with you so never be afraid to approach us if something doesn't sit right with you. But we figure, the unexpected happens all the time in real life...why not in roleplay as well?
