((If not allowed just let me know and I'll delete it - I just thought Kasar would like to take a hike around and get lost for a little bit. XD))

He had arrived to this Weyr about five sevendays ago, the male already tired of the eyrbowl, Barracks, Library, Kitchens and other common areas in it. And who could blame him, Kasar had been used to fending on his own in the wild for the past four turns or so - and this was defenitely anything but fending on his own. So the male had decided to go explore the territory which had so much been called out of boundaries for candidates. Pah, like if anyone could tell him where he could and where he couldn't go. That was just as stupid as saying he couldn't pee here or there - who was gonna stop him from doing it? No one, that's who.

The terrain, however, as far from hospitalary and he was sure he'd never reach the hotsprings. However, he didn't really mind it for he didn't planned to go there anyway. Nah, he was just looking from some solitude to feel more at home. The crowding of the barracks was already annoying him - a hard task to acomplish for sure.

Still, he did heed some warnings, taking a torch along with his trusty dagger [hidden in his boot]. The wooden stick was lighted up with fire, the flames dancing in the air as they changed colors. Blue at the base, then yellow, orange and, finally, red. Fire, such a pretty and lethal thing. Smirking he set off, carrying a bag on his shoulder with a few meatrolls, a coat, water and rope - just in case. It never hurted to be prepared. The wher-hide collar on his neck shifted as he moved, making the attached and broken chain rattle as he walked. The only thing that gave away his presence, for the male barely made a sound as he stepped through the undergrowth.

"Going for a hike?" a a feminine voice asked the candidate from ahead. She was dressed in a light blue tunic,, black wherryhide jacket and white wherryhide pants, her hair fell down about and past her shoulders. Azer looked wholly the part of a adventurous candidate, just around the age of 18 or 19 turns. She smiled a friendly grin at the rulebreaker, but how would he know she was the weyrwoman? "Mind if I join you for a bit?" she asked, wanting company at the moment. The wind gusted, she shivered inside her coat, this blasted place was so sharding cold, and it would take more than two sevendays to get used to the drastic change. "Where are you headed?"

((Sure Shiz. ^^))

The male blinked, he had clearly not expected any company - certainly not out here. And even less from such a pretty young lady. A Candidate? Most probably - he wouldn't really know for he hadn't been at the barracks long enough to meet anyone. Just the necesary time to please the Candidate Mistress before bolting out to the kitchens and getting his supplies. The weather was something that didn't phase him - he was used to worst things than a bit of cold. "Indeed, fair lady. It seemed like a nice day for a walk, so I thought I'd take the offer." A smirk lined his lips, the male candidate of nineteen turns smiling suavely at the woman. She seemed to be close of his age - and was defenitely more than pretty enough. What more could he want? Taking a hike and with a beautiful girl... Perhaps getting lost in the woods together as well.

The sly, casanova Kasar...

"Where am I headed? Hmm. I, frankly, don't know. Where ever the breeze and paths take me I guess." A shrug of his shoulders was given, the male looking at the surroundings before continuing. He stopped a few foot steps later, turning back to look at the female that had appeared out of nowhere before stretching his hand out to her. "Feel like joining me, beautiful? Oh, the name's Kasar." It was better to know the name of who would be going in a hike with you - made it less... Stranger-ish.

A man, middle-aged, utop a blue dragon flew overhead of them. He had longish brown hair, with a slightly red tint, and dark brown eyes. His skin was paler then usual, and his features were very feminine. Hell, he almost looked like a woman. But no, he was, infact, the weyrs Weyrlingmaster, P'ro. He was wearing general dragon gear, mostly brown, with black boots and brown gloves. His trousers were brown and leathery looking, as was his tunic. He wore a jacket-like piece of clothing on top of it, for extra protection. The blue was a darkish shade, fading lighter around the head and tail area, a muscular, bulky creature. Larger then your average blue, longer too, with wings to suit his body. A fine beast indeed, worthy of many a rider, bonded to his dearest P'ro. The dragon squealed as he recognised a female down below, and quite suddenly swooped down quite a bit, then started to swirl down into a landing infront of the pair, crushing many things while doing so

"For shards sake Parodoth!"

The blue squealed in joy, having just totally pissed of his rider.

He spotted a candidate, but could not recall his name. Instead, he turned his attention to the female, and bowed apologeticly before saying

"Ever so sorry ma'am, Paro just likes being a shell-butt. He's a good dim-glow at heart though..."

He then started to climb off his dragon, and when he reached the ground he sighed, patting his blues ever-growing belly. Fat bastard.

"Pleaure to meet you Kasar. I am Azer." the young woman introduced herself, if anyone had heard of her it would be by her whole name, not by her nickname. She watched his features, smiling to herself. He thought he was so suave - perhaps if he had been a full bronze rider, but she played along.

"I will most surely join you on your mountain wanderings, perhaps we will see one of the Vyrin." Perhaps the candidate would know more about them, they'd sounded interesting.

"You are a candidate then? Do you have any hopes?" the woman asked casually, her blue eyes flickered in the muted light of the forest. This one would carry on an interesting conversation.

Nice day for a walk in the woods with a few males?

Oh Hush! I'm sure you're just jealous

You, Parodoth, she says she's a candidate, she says don't blow her cover The queen relayed with a mischievious tone.

"What in the Red Start's name..."

The last thing the male had expected was a Blue to dive down from the middle of nowhere in the sky, now standing not too far away from them as he seemed to watch teh woman with joyous eyes. Most probably the one that searched the lass or something, the male quickly dismissed it. However, his Rider he could not dismiss. Shards, more company - not what he had really had in mind. Ah well, he'd live.

Adapting to this new surroundings he cleared hsi troath slightly before speaking to the Weyrwoman, whom she didn't knew her real title. For Kasar, this was just a female candidate - nothing more - and a good looking one at that. "The pleasure is all mine, Azer." Smiling he bowed softly to the female before sending a corteous nod to teh Rider and his Blue. He didn't see it fit to repeat his name again, seeing as Azer had done the favor for him.

"Yes, I am a Candidate. As to what I hope to impress... Someone who will suit me well is all I ask for." Sure, Kings sounded interesting, but the male wouldn'tfix his mind in something expecifically - though a Bronze or an Onyx weren't far away from his wish list - along ith another rare color he had heard of once in his travels. "Vyrin?" He repeated the word, puzzled as he searched the library of books and conversations stored in his mind for the creature. Ah, the Vyrin.... He'd only heard once about them and, frankly, wasn't more than the generic knoledge every one had. "Well, I didn't had that quite in mind... Though I would defenitely not mind coming across one of thos elegant creatures. Just as good as dragons, in my opinion."

P'ro scowled, nothing in the entire world was anywhere near as good as a dragon. When the boy impressed it, he'd learn that too. He decided to take the matter off his mind by patting his blue and letting the great male take flight. The blue ran forward a bit before taking off, but managed to spiral upwards quite quickly. He circled his rider and the pair, obviously watching for trouble and whatnot.

The girlie Weyrlingmaster followed the two, playing with his hair while listening to their conversation. Occasionally he'd spot a beautiful insect or flower, and run off to inspect it, but mostly he stuck to walking behind them. Usually he'd interupt or say something, but he didn't want to accidently give the game away; his Parodoth had warned him of the game the weyrwoman was playing.

He though it cruel. But quite intresting too...

'Tis not mean Bluerider, mine is trying to see what type of people she will have to lead. Mine likes to know people in theweyr.

Vaelaaryth said calmly, explaining directly to Weyrling Master P'ro.

"They certainly would be a sight to see, as large as a southern cat I've heard." she commented on it glancing at the bluerider with her pretty blue eyes. "Where are you from?" Azer asked following the male candidate. Oh I hope I don't trip, that would be a story - Weyrwoman Azaeryn faceplant in the mud

Ha! And I'm here to see it

Overhead the dragoness glided easily casting a casual eye downward at the two, she bugled downward and continued her flight.

"Who was that?" Azer asked with seeming genuine question.

Something was not right... Or his name wasn't Kasar. Since the beginning of the Blue Rider's appearance - and his overly formal apologies and greetings to the lass, the male had a feeling they were hidding something from him - though he couldn't quite put his finger on what. For the moment being he simply tossed that thought to the side - though it was never fully forgotten or ignored. "Yes, they would certainly be a magnificent sight to behold." The male agreed, continuig to walk though he kept a watchful eye on Azer. Women did have a tendancy to fall - more than boys at least. No, he wasn't being sexist or anything, he was just beig honest.

As she spoke with the BlueRider now he had continued to watch the surroundings, slightly perplexed as a gloden ad black figure passed them by, bulging. "I believe that was a Queen..." Odd, why would the dragoness be flying aroud here? Sadly she was too far for his eyesight to get a clear view and inspect if she had a Rider on her back or not...

In either case it meant one of two things: either he was being too paranoid and the Weyrwoman had just passed above them [ad he could expect getting scolded for wandering around Vyr Saiyul Range] or that was just a decoy to fool his suspicions.

"Oh shards. We'll be in trouble won't we? Get out of sight or more riders'll see us. I really don't want to be booted from this place." she questioned, eyes growing large and innocent. She was quite an actress. Watching the form of the dragoness disappear, Azer let out a slight sigh of relief. "I think she's gone."

The forest thickened around them, ancient moss covered trees towering a hundred feet above or more. The forest really was beautiful. Ferns huddles at the giant's trunks, brushing her ankles as she passed through. Azer would remember this as a place for quiet thought. "What do you make of the war?" she asked, serious this time.

The weyrwoman wanted to know how informed her future riders were, that was the first thing she had wanted changed that the candidates and riders would be informed of lastest news of the growing conflict between Benden and High Reaches.

"Perhaps - though I don't think we'll get booted. Perhaps extra chores, but not thrown away. Not when there'e a clutch on the sands and we haven't done anything wrong really. We're just walking - that's all. Plus, we do have a Rider among us..." The sentence was oe with double meaning, the male wanted to see just what reactios he would get from his two companions, though he was clever enough to msk everything uder oe equal tone of voice.

The Queen disappeared, or so it seemed, a the male only shrugged as they went deeper ito the range. These were some gorgeous sights, Kasar had to admit that, and defenitely a place he would frequent more when solitude became a craving of his. At the females sudden and unnexpected question, though, he snapped his thoughts away from previous ones - turning to watch her. "What do I think of it? A waste of time, effort, supplies and lives." Blunt, shor and simple, Kasar liked to go straight to the point of his answers. "Instead of figting among one anothers they should all be more worried on finding a way to sustain everyone and bring balance back to the eco-system. But, of course, greed, power, pride, lust, and egos are hard to tame or ignore - and sometimes turn a person deaf towards the right answers for their problems. One can only hope, then, that they realize their mistakes soon - before more irreversal damage is dealt."

He finally finished, shrugging before looking at Azer. "Well, you've heard my opinion. Now I wish to hear yours, Azer." He still had his doubts - for why would have she over reacted so much to say they might be booted if caught. Hoestly, it was just a walk around the surroundigs of the Weyr - not a plot to assasinate the next Weyrleader or something. Though, he wouldn't voice out his suspisions - not yet at least.

Azer was silent a moment, thinking over his response. He would be a good rider one day. "I've lost a mother in the plague that helped set the stage for the war, I've lost a father when desperate rider ransacked my hold. I've lost the peaceful life of a simple holder girl. I was ridiculed and pitied for four year, separated from my twin sister the only one I had left, I've watched my friends mourn my staged death. I have been helpless as the world has made me a pawn." The weyrwoman's eyes turned sad, "I hope that indeed it does end before more innocents are murdered out of greed, but I believe it will take more than just hope. It will take strength, discipline, and compassion. I did not like coming to help build a force of fighters, but I see that it will take more than kind words to stop this warpath."

She had come to terms with her history, she had no problem sharing it. Perhaps her experiance would help those around her trust her. Though he would probably think she was deceitful, she had never once lied. People tended to act more at ease amongst those of their own rank, it was easier to get the know the real person behind the "yes ma'am's and Good Day Weyrwoman's "

"I am sorry to hear of your losses, Azer." The male commented wuietly, watching as the Weyrwoman continued to speak. He kew, deep down in his guts, that this was no Cadidate. And, indeed, she wasn't. Still, Kasar didn't seem to mid that she had tried to pass as a Candidate i his eyes. "You are right, Azer, it will take more than just hope to end this. Sadly, it will take Dragons and Theirs - it will take a war between the DragonRiders of Pern... I oly wished there was another way besides this one, yet it seems no one else will listen - or none want to see the truth infront of their eyes." SHakig his head the male turned to look at his surroudings. The fresh undergrowth, the tall and old trees. Everything was beautiful, peaceful, quiet. Like what Pern had once been. He only hoped he was alive and well to see it restored back to said stage - hopefuly one day not too far away. "Well, shall we continue with our hike - Weyrwoman?" Turing back to Azer the male smirked, a mischievous glint in his eyes. He was, by no means, stopping his hike fecause the Weyrwoman was there. No, he'd continue and she'd had two choices: come along, or wait for his return and punish him. Either he didn't mind - though a punishment wasn't exactly looked fowards to neither.

((Sorry, I fell asleep. XD))

((internet outage...bleh! rewiring brother's room...))

Azer gave a small smile, nodding toward the bluerider. "Good day Weyrlingmaster P'ro." she greeted him by title before turning back to the candidate, nodding in acknowledgement to her title. "I only hope it shall return to peace during our lifetimes." The weyrwoman echoing the candidate's personal thoughts, the sadness faded as Kasar asked to continue the walk. The young woman was again her 'off duty' self, eyes bright and trusting. "We shall Kasar." This was a curious attribute, breaking weyr rules right before the highest ranked person there. Well the candidate was an interesting person alright and she followed him along in good spirits.

"Oh and don't worry I won't be booting myself or you out of the weyr." she remarked, "You're lucky since this time I won't turn you in to be punished, I have close ties to the candidate mistress." Her eyes sparkled with laughter.
