Well heres my review on the Hydro ponge line up. i use hydro sponges 5's in most of my tanks my 75 gallon rite now it being run of a singel sponge smile.gif with very clean water. very well enginereed, works extremely well.

    PROS
    -Cheap and inexpensive.
-Very easy to set up and clean.
    -More media surface area.
-Only needs and air pump to run.
    -Virturaly no restrictions in flow.
    -Will not suck up fry.

    CONS
-Hard to get at if you own piranha or other fish with large teeth.
    -Pretty obscene and large.

Im giving the Hydro sponge filter line up a 9.5/10

A sponge will also help to cycle a new tank faster due to the bio material already attached to an established one. They also make great bio filters for an established tank.
