Scrivener Group: Admin Posts: 57 Member No.: 1 Joined: 23-December 06	Edit: The contest is being extended to January 12 15, 2007 Beginning December 24th, 2006 and ending January 5th, 2007 Objective: Create a holiday in the world of Alagaesia. You may focus on Urgals, werecats, humans, elves, dwarves, dragons, what-have-you. Write a story with a minimum of 1,000 words that incorporates this holiday. Avoid info-dumping; dialogue and action are good tools for conveying information. Guidelines: 1,000 word minimum An original holiday *A sacrifice (while this can be physical--e.g. Urgals slaughtering an elf and tossing him on an altar--it should have emotional ramifications, such as a human giving up his opportunity to become a Rider and letting his friend go in his stead) Prize: The first-, second-, and third-place winners will receive custom titles of their choice, as well as "First/ Second/ Third in Holiday Fan Fic Contest" in their titles. -------------------- "I know there is many sorrows dancing in your blood. If you're not paranoid of ideas being stolen, post it; or post it and request that it not be visible until the contest ends. 2. E-mail it to nammils_irish_sodabread at yahoo.com. Yep, mods can enter. And...hmm...general vote sounds like a good idea. If we get enough people interested, we'll go with that. Otherwise, it'll probably be the admins.
