Thine glist'ning spheres of ethreal jade
Set gloriously within pools serpentine of shade
To thine ambrosial frame did me bade.

My yearning for thine acute scent
Of pine, freshly crushed, over the atmosphere sent
Did in me kindle love unrequit.

As the sun dies down to the west
I think of thee, with beauty bless'd
And grieve that to know you would be incest.

For Murtagh told me, in revelation shocking
And that which he conveyed, with much mocking
That thy and my mother are one; he sneered at my gawking.

"Murtagh," said I, "pray tell, this cannot be true.
For mine relationship with Arya mirrors not that of Luke and Leia, anew
But that of the elf and her lover--Arwen and Aragorn, with pristine love imbued."
