Ok, well though this is useless to most people, I'll summarise the entire first series of Naruto (Episodes 001 - 135), this does not include the fillers for two reasons;
1. The fillers aren't part of the storyline
2. I haven't watched them all yet, and I can't be stuffed now that Shippuuden is out
Ok, the series starts with an introduction to Uzumaki Naruto. It explains that he has a Nine Tails Demon (referred to as the Kyuubi) inside of him, and that the person who sealed it in him was the fourth Hokage (Hokage being the most powerful ninja in the village). During this episode Naruto learns a Jounin (Second highest rank of ninja, with the exclusion of ANBU) level technique, Kage Bushin (Shadow Replication depending on how its translated). This is a rough summary of ep 1.
Episode 2 introduces Konohamaru, who is the the Third Hokage's grandson. This ep doesn't contain too much essential details as such.
Next few episodes I'll summarise as a whole;
Naruto gets put into team 7. He becomes team mates with Uchiha Sasuke and Hurano (Right spelling?) Sakura. The three of them don't get on at all; Naruto hates Sasuke but likes Sakura, Sakura hates Naruto but likes Sasuke, and Sasuke hates them both. After a bit, then get introduced to Hatake Kakashi who becomes their sensei. He is an ex-ANBU member, currently a Jounin. Kakashi puts them a test which involves them attempting to steal bells off Kakashi. None of them manage to get the bells, and Kakashi states that they need "Team Work", since when each of them work individually they aren't good enough. After a few missions as a team, Naruto gets bored, and states that he wants a more exciting mission. The Hokage agrees and allows them to do a C-rank mission. This opens up Wave Country Arc.
Team 7's mission involves an escort for an old man, who turns out to be a bridge builder. Team 7 soon realise that the mission is way above a C-rank mission, and that its also too dangerous for the 3 Genin. A ninja known as Zabuza attacks the team, but Kakashi and some team work manages to hold him off. During their stay in the Wave Country, the three of them undergo a training exercise that is designed to improve their strength. Sakura manages to beat the task easily, but Sasuke and Naruto work hard to beat eachother. They both end up improving dramatically because of this. While Kakshi, Sakura and Sasuke are on the bridge guarding the old man, Zabuza attacks again, despite the fact that he had appeared dead. A series of fights occur, and Naruto joins the battle. Sasuke gets defeated by an accomplice of Zabuza's known as Haku (It is still disputed whether this character is female or male). Naruto gets upset because of Sasuke's defeat, thinking hes dead, and his Kyuubi releases. Naruto easily dispatches of Haku when hes Kyuubi is released. One thing leads to another, and Zabuza and Haku end up defeated.
The next arc is the Chuunin Exam. The Chuunin Arc lasts for about 40 eps~. and again, I'll do an overall summary rather than individual episodes. Kakashi gives team 7 application forms for the Chuunin exam, but says that its optional, and they don't
have to do it. Sakura is the only one out of the three who doubts the exam, but in the end decides to go along with it. When the three of them are on their way to the exam room, a ninja called Rock Lee (This is the Japanese way of names, so his name is Lee, not Rock

) encounters them. He asks Sakura out on a date, and challenges Sasuke to a duel. Naruto being, well, Naruto, gets annoyed at this, and says he'll fight Lee; the then charges straight into Lee, but Lee takes him out in 1 hit. Sasuke and Sakura are stunned at Lee's strength, but Sasuke accepts the challenge anyway. Sasuke being over confident, doesn't put up much of a fight for Lee. Sasuke manages to activate his Sharingan (Being an Uchiha and all, its his Bloodline Limit) and states he'll see through whatever "magic" Lee is using. Sasuke then takes a kick straight to the head...Lee explans that Sasuke's Sharingan is a "Genius" type technique, while Lee's "Taijutsu" is hardwork. In the end Sasuke ends up defeated, and we also get introduced to Gai-Sensei, whos Lee's sensei (Mite, Mito or Might Gai depending on translation). He claims to be Kakashi's eternal rival, but Kakashi couldn't care less. After all this confrontation, team 7 meet up with Kakashi who explains that the Chuunin exam needs to be taken in teams of 3, and if Sakura had decided not to do it, Naruto and Sasuke wouldn't have been able to either.
Next part is the Chuunin exam and all the tests within it. When the three of them enter the waiting area, they see many different ninja, all of which look powerful.
*More comming soon when I can be bothered*
