Tales From Work

OK, so I'm going to stick to my rule about not telling everyone where it is precisely that I work (when I'm not making comics that is ). Only because it's a rather notable company and all. However, sometimes happens there that I just can't keep to myself.

My position is an administrative assistant in one of the various offices we have there. My primary role is known as "Vacation Clerk," and it's my duty to sort through all the various vacation requests from the hundreds and hundreds of people that work in our overall department. Obviously, there's A LOT more to it than that, but as I said, I don't want to give away too much information.

Anyway, I see a lot of misspellings and grammar mistakes on the Vacation forms that come to me. I remember one time I got one that said "Need day off to find babicritter." I stared at that one for several minutes before I realized the person was referring to a "baby sitter." I thought they were wanted to go hunting some new kind of creature

Last Friday brought in a new gem though. I received a request from two employees who wanted the same thing, and their note for why read "Please, we're in car poo!"

....Car.....poo?..............I most certainly don't want to ride in THAT car

Hahaha, I know people make mistakes. I'm not making fun of these people by any means. In fact, the moments like these give you those giggles that make the job that much more bearable

I have no tales from work to tell that are all that interesting, as I work from home.
Going on about sitting in front of a desk all day, err, night, working on whacked-out pictures day after day after day would bore you guys to teeeaaarrrs.
