RECRUITING CONTEST #1, January 11, 2008 - March 1, 2008

This will be the first contest held by Nero's Decay & the forum! We're all really excited about this. You should be too.


WHAT IS IT?
It's a contest designed to help us promote Nero's Decay - the website and forum. We do all we can ourselves but now we're asking for your help. However, there's a nice prize in it for you.

WHEN DOES IT START? END?
It starts today. January 11, 2008, 12:00am.
It will end March 1, 2008, 12:00am.

WHAT DO I DO?
It might sound a bit complicated, so here goes. The qualify, there are multiple parts.

1. You MUST be a REGISTERED member here on the forum. To register, GO HERE.
2. You MUST add the myspace account to your friends list. The myspace is located here: NERO'S DECAY MYSPACE. To prove you have done so, we will need your myspace url (keep reading to find out how to share it with us).
3. Anyway that you can, promote promote promote the website and forum. We have buttons and banners on the website so that you don't have to make your own.

Here's where you need to pay close attention. It's simple if you just read it through.

4. You HAVE to post HERE!!! - click me, in the contest participants category, stating that you are participating. One post per member. The topic should state "(username here) is participating" or something to that effect. ONE POST PER MEMBER (only if you are participating to win the prize). In the rest of the post, please leave your myspace url so we can prove that you have added the myspace account.
5. When you are promoting (via myspace, another forum, livejournal, etc) tell your friends to comment your thread (that you just made in the participants forum), AFTER THEY BECAME A REGISTERED MEMBER OF THE FORUM, saying "i was recruited" or something like that. In order for it to count, it has to be under the thread you made there. Otherwise we'll have no idea who got them to join. Get it? Got it? GOOOOOD.
6. Here's the catch. There's always a catch. You and your recruits have to be active here on the forum. That means by March 1, nobody should have under 20 posts. Heck, nobody should have under 30. We try to keep it pretty active around here.

HOW DO I WIN?
The winner will be picked by March 5, 2008, to give us time to make sure everyone followed the rules and tally everything up. We determine a winner (only one recruiting winner) based upon how many active members they got to join the forum. Pretty simple, yes? The key word though, is ACTIVE members.

This was a survey filled out by Shawn Milke on May 1, 2007 in Cleveland, OH. I sat there with him while he filled it out, so I assure you, it's legit. I have pictures of Pat doing his to prove, in case you're that skeptical. Anyways. The prize for this contest is the survey Shawn did. It has been scanned in and up on the website since May, so you'll definitely have some bragging rights with that. No lies, I'm not thrilled to part with it, but it's for a good cause.

The guys were so excited to fill them out, especially since it was for their fansite. So... this would be a prize to be excited and proud over.

INSTRUCCIONES EN ESPAÑOL

Este es el primer concurso de Nero's Decay y el foro! Estamos emocionadas por esto y tu deberías de estarlo también.


QUÉ ES?
Es un concurso que servirá para ayudarnos a promocionar Nero's Decay - la web y el foro. Nosotros hacemos todo lo que podemos pero necesitamos tu ayuda, además te estamos ofreciendo un premio!


CUANDO EMPIEZA? TERMINA?
Empezó el 11 de enero, 2008, 12:00am.
Terminará el 1 de marzo, 2008, 12:00am.

QUÉ DEBO HACER?
Se lee algo complicado pero en realidad no lo es. Tiene varias partes:

1. DEBERÁS de estar REGISTRADO como miembro aquí en el foro. Para registrarte, click AQUÍ.
2. DEBERÁS agregar la cuenta de myspace de la web a tu lista de amigos. El myspace está aquí: NERO'S DECAY MYSPACE. Para probarnos que ya lo hiciste necesitaremos la dirección de tu myspace (continua leyendo para saber como decirnos).
3. De cualquier forma que tu puedas promociona la web y el foro. Tenemos botones y banners en la web para que no los tengas que hacer tú.

Ahora aquí está a lo que necesitas ponerle mucha atención. Es simple si lo lees bien.

4. TIENES que publicar un mensaje AQUÍ!!! - click me, en la categoría de "contest participants", diciendo que estás participando. Un mensaje por miembro. Cuando entres a esa categoría da click en el botón azul de "new topic". El asunto(topic) debe de decir "(tunombredeusuario aqui) is participating" o algo asi. UN MENSAJE POR PERSONA (solo si tu estás participando para ganarte el premio). En el resto del mensaje, por favor deja tu dirección de myspace para probar que agregaste a nuestra cuenta.
5. Cuando estés promocionando (via myspace, otro foro, livejournal, etc) dile a tus amigos que comenten en tu mensaje (el que acabas de hacer en la sección de participants en el foro), DESPUÉS DE QUE SE REGISTREN Y YA SEAN MIEMBROS DEL FORO, diciendo "i was recruited" o algo asi. Para que esto cuente, tiene que ser en el mismo mensaje que tu hiciste para que asi se haga tu propia liga. De otro modo no tendremos idea de quien los invitó a unirse. Entendiste? NO? preguntame.
6. Ahora lo que tienen que hacer... Tu y tus amigos tienen que ser miembros activos aquí en el foro. Eso significa que para el 1 de marzo, nadie deberá de tener menos de 20 mensajes. De hecho nadie debería de tener menos de 30! Queremos que haya actividad.

CÓMO GANO?
El ganador será seleccionado el 5 de marzo, 2008, para darnos tiempo de estar seguros de que todos siguieron las reglas y tienen todo bien. Determinaremos el ganador (solo un reclutador será el ganador) basándonos en cuantos miembros activos logró que se unieran al foro. Es muy simple! La clave es que tus reclutados sean ACTIVOS.

El premio que ganarás es el cuestionario que Shawn hizo. estuvo escaneado y en el fansite desde Mayo , así que tu podrías presumir que es el tuyo.

Los miembros de la banda estaban emocionados por llenarlos, especialmente porque era para su fansite.
