This is BS and an obvious attempt to suppress Current TV. Time Warner is obviously threatened by progressives such as Cenk, who speak out against the status quo. This paragraph right here says it all.
"The appointment of Spitzer, another outspoken news commentator, led to speculation among Time Warner Cable executives that Current is courting controversy to attract viewers." If TW only cares about profit, why do they care why Spitzer was brought on? Answer: because Current seeks to air information that other coporate-controlled media won't. And Current addresses important issues because people need to know what's going on - not solely for profit. Al Gore is my hero. |

Time-Warner has threaten for years to pull Current's plug, but so far nothing. They were giving Current problems in Italy, but I do not know if they pulled the plug there.
