Abdul Mutlib married one of his son "Abdullah” to Amina, the daughter of Wahab bin Abdul Manaf. After their marriage, Abdullah traveled to Syria for trade purposes. On his way back to Mecca, he stayed in Yathrib (Madina) where he got ill and died. After a few months of his sad demise, Hazrat Mohammed ( saw2.gif ) was born, on Monday, 12 Rabi ul awal (April 20, 571). This is the same year when the ruler of Yeman, Abraha invaded Mecca with aims to destroy the Holy Kabba.

His grandfather gave him the name “MUHAMMAD” and mother “AHMAD”.

After the birth of the Holy Prophet ( saw2.gif ), Hazrat Amina ( razi.gif ) fed him for two days with her milk. It was a custom of that age that the riches of the city used to send their children to the countryside so that they could grow in a healthy environment and become an adept in language. A few days before the birth of Holy Prophet ( saw2.gif ), a few ladies from the tribe HAWAZIN came to mecca including Hazrat Haleema Sadia. Hazrat Amina ( razi.gif ) handed over his beloved son to Haleema after his birth. When Hazrat Mohammed ( saw2.gif ) attained the age of four, he was sent back to Mecca to his mother. At the age of six he went alongwith his mother, to visit his father's grave in Madina. Hazrat Amina ( razi.gif ) died while on the return journey from Medinah at a place called ‘Abwa’.

After the death of Hazrat Amina ( razi.gif ), Hazrat Abdul Mutlib ( razi.gif ) brought him up. But he also died when Hazrat Mohammed ( saw2.gif ) was of eight years.
