God of War 1
Story
| QUOTE | | Kratos, a Spartan commander, called for the help of Ares, the God of War, in a time of need. After being defeated by a Barbarian army, Kratos was at death until Ares came down from Olympus and granted Kratos the powers of the Gods, giving him the Blades of Chaos. Kratos, blinded by Spartan ambition, ended up killing his own family, scared with the ashes turning his skin pale and turning him into the Ghost of Sparta. Kratos wishes to avenge his family and decides to kill Ares in order to stop his nightmares. |
Gameplay
| QUOTE | | God of War (GoW) is an awesome action/adventure game, and it's extremely bloody. The gameplay mechanics are very simple, yet complex enough to be fun. Basically you walk around and solve puzzles while killing Ares' minions and fighting other bosses as well. You can throw, rip peoples heads and arms off, and use a variety of magic. |

| QUOTE | | The graphics are simply amazing; probably one of the best out of the PS2 games. The landscape is very well done, and there aren't very many pixellated and/or choppy areas. |

Story
