A long time ago, I mean a very long time ago, I mean a very very very long time ago. Longer ago than any of our elders could ever begin to remember. That long time ago there was a love affair that happened between the sun and the moon. The moon goddess and the original wolf mother loved the sun greatly. But father sky had already bed her many times and considered her to be his only mate. So one day while father sky was sleeping the moon goddess snuck off to sleep with the sun. The passion they shared ignited the sky over the earth and thus were formed the Aurora Borealis.
The sky had such light an energy and danced in the sky for three whole months. Even the stars were in awe of such a spectacle and sent small particles of themselves to join in the beautiful dance across the sky. Then, the Aurora Borealis became heavy, so heavy in fact that it touched down upon the drifts of snow on earth and with one last reminiscent kiss from the moon Goddess a small, multi colored, gem kissed pair of pups lay in the snow. One of a black undercoat with bursts of the Aurora's color on his pelt and all color of gems, and a pure white one with all colors upon hers and just a single gem on one paw. Thus was born the first prince and the first healer to the Aurora Wolves.
